Vladimir Antonov
![]() Age: 38 Height: 6'1" Hair color: blonde (mostly bald) Ethnicity: Northeastern European (Russian/Finnish/Norwegian?) Blood type: A (allegedly for "Awesome") Famous/Frequented quotes: "Behind the destruction lies a statue of stone, and behind the statue lies MORE destruction!" "This beautiful body of mine shall beautifully claim victory!" "Indignation!" "Attacking at night? How insolent!" "Just because you outrank me doesn't mean you can just come waltzing onto my base! What impropriety!" "...damn, it's cold." "Has anyone seen my shirt? Anyone at all? Seriously, I can't find it." Mobile suit: MSM-10F Zock Custom MS Profile: The MSM-10F is a definitive variant of the standard Zock mobile suit. The Zock is intended to provide heavy fire support during amphibious operations. Vladimir's Zock takes this a step further with a much larger chassis, quadrupedal legs, and the addition of a pair of variable beam saber/beam machinegun weapons in its arms. Much like the standard model, this Zock moves under the force of hydrojets while underwater, and normal hover engines while on land, though it can scuttle across the ground at a relatively slow pace. His Zock looks almost more like a miniature mobile armor than any normal mobile suit. The Zock features complete bilateral symmetry, arming four Mega Particle Cannons on both its front and back, and larger, omnidirectional Mega Particle Cannon its its head. To facilitate its fire support role, the Zock is equipped with a 360° mono-eye, and can easily move in any direction. Like the grunt model, it also features an advanced targeting computer which can lock-on and fire at multiple targets simultaneously. The Zock is a sub-par mobile suit for close-range combat, usually opting to use its massive bulk and thruster power as weapons of their own accord.

Vladimir Antonov is, by all accounts, an unusual Zeon supporter. He isn't even a Spacenoid at all. Merely by being at the right place at the right time, with the right circumstances, he managed to find himself in the position he is in. Born in UC 0041, the colony immigration was still in its heydey when he was young. Though the Soviet Union had fallen almost 110 years earlier, Antonov was quite resiliant against Communism in general (he would often insinuate that his commanders were foot soldiers during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan). Antonov has a "thing" for young women, booze, and lifting the heaviest things he can find over his head (because he can). He's also an expert of striking dramatic poses and epic monologues, usually to the disdain of everyone around him. His overbearing persona is further compounded by his seeming desire to throw off his shirt while proceeding in any of these poses and speeches, even in the freezing cold weather (now, his subordinates joke about how pink 'drama sparkles' appear around him). Originally an Earth Federation armor officer, Antonov's top-of-the-line belligerence (and ridiculous posing and exhibitionism) has gotten him transferred to more and more out-of-the-way bases than he'd care to mention, provided someone wasn't dangling a bottle of brandy in front of his face. He once planned on writing a book about the 227 things he was disciplined on, with such hi-jinks as "My response to a chemical warfare attack would be to tell my superior officer what I really thought about him, and then poke holes in his gas mask." Eventually, he found himself stuck in the Federation's backwater base in Vladivostok, which had changed little in the century since it had been a Soviet submarine resupply facility. The turning point came when, a month before the One Year War began, Antonov, on a dare from a few colleagues, successfully hefted the base commander's expensive German car, then (quite accidently) proceeded to chuck it into the oncoming path of a giant supply truck (these same vehicles would later be used to transport mobile suits). The enraged commander prohibited him from access to the base's weight room, essentially dooming him to slowly regress into a state of unfitness. Around this time (as he had nothing better to do, once proclaiming that he had no new women to hit on), he began to read up on Zeon Daikun's speakings, which was quite unusual at the time, as the newly formed Zeon Duchy had just institued Operation British against the Federation. (Antonov later justified his defection to the Zeon because they "made it warmer up here" with their colony drop) When the Zeon Duchy's Terrestrial Assault Force and its newfangled mobile suits began advancing on Vladivostok, Antonov saw his chance for revenge for the petty inequities foistered against him. He and several friends unleashed several grandiose sabotages against the base's infrastructure, making it a relatively easy job for the Zeon to secure the establishment for themselves. Being the most experienced officer in the base's operations, Antonov found himself in command of the facility under the Zeon flag, mostly due to the insistence of several of the Zeon's new submarine captains that a competant operator would be needed if the base was to be effective for the Zeon submarine fleet.
