History of Mafia themed clubs in There

A great many new people have joined since these clubs have formed and disbanded, since rank and file foot soldiers scraped and clawed their way to the top to claim that ever coveted title of Dona. Following the brief history of the Mafia-themed clubs we will present a brief history of some of the high profile Mafioso, comprising of both past and present leaders and rising stars. All of the clubs that have been disbanded were done so by the club leaders. So far no one has been monitored or banned for any of their club activities in any of the mafia themed clubs.

Club: There_Mafia
Club Leader: Nezroy (title: Don)
Club formed: January or February 2003
Club status: Disbanded, no longer in existence. At highest point had 25 – 30 members.
Key members: Kodiak, Hatch, Syn, Daemona

Club t-shirt: White tee with a navy blue flak jacket over it, with the word “Mafia” written in yellow on both the front and back. This club had issues with:
The_White_Light – A personal issue between Don Nezroy and TWL. Specifics have been lost over the course of time.
Jopy – Someone took a hit out on Jopy, and when he learned of it he went nuts dropping signs on top of, in front of, all around the Mafia clubhouse. It took a helper intervening to get him to stop. Nezroy was forced to withdraw the hit to prevent further sign warfare from such a well-stocked opponent. (Jopy had over 200 signs.)
There staff – We heard rumors that we were being closely monitored.

Club: Mafia
Club Leaders: Syn (title: Don), Caporegimes: Hatch, Kodiak, and Daemona
Club formed: March 2003
Club status: Disbanded, no longer in existence.
Key members: Kodiak, Hatch, Syn, Daemona

Club t-shirt- White tee-shirt with a black flak jacket over it with a white skull outline design on the front and back. How the Mafia evolved in this phase:
When Don Nezroy quit playing There in March of 2003, 4 members from his original club decided they had put too much time and energy in the club to simply walk away. In order to rent clubhouses and add/remove members, they would need a new club and leader. While all 4 members would govern the club equally, it was decided that Syn would lead the club. All 4 leaders wanted to see the mafia grow and become even greater than it had been under Don Nezroy’s leadership. The leaders soon divided up duties among themselves and thus the idea of separate divisions was born. Daemona and Kodiak were busily renting fun zones and working them to create good PR for the mafia. They had a way to go to repair all of the negativity that was circulating about them after the previous altercations with Jopy and TWL. Hits were stopped all together. At a time when many event hosts were charging high fees to get into empty events, Kodiak and Daemona were throwing some serious cash into slamming par-tays and building challenging race courses which offered cash prizes to the top racers each day with no entrance fees. Word was getting out that this was a great club to be in and soon everyone was IM-ing the only visible leader, Syn, wanting to know how to get in.

How this club fell apart:
Syn soon realized she was in way over her head and she could not possibly maintain her position as Don over such a wildly popular and growing juggernaut. She quickly decided that her club would no longer role-play mafioso’s. She aligned her club with WOTR (Way Out There Radio) and basically held parties and had fun. At the final leadership meeting it was decided that Daemona would create a whole new club for people who did want to role-play.

Club: The_Mafia
Club Leader: Daemona (title: Dona)
Club formed: April 2003
Club status: Disbanded, no longer in existence. At highest point had 100 members.
Key members: Sugarme, Tek_02, Giga_i3ai3y, Sammyboy, Gabriel_Infinity, Loox, Calvin

Club tee-shirt: Basically a re-colored version of the original There_Mafia tee. This one has a heather grey tee shirt underneath a royal blue flak jacket with the word “Mafia” in red on the front and back. The red was matched to Dona Daemona’s red tomboy hairstyle that she favored in There. How this club differed from the rest:
Seeing Syn’s burn-out at being overloaded with so many responsibilities, Daemona quickly decided that she would set up several different divisions from the very beginning. Once a leader (Caporegime) was found for that division, the Capo would form a separate club and invite/approve members to join as they saw fit. The Capo’s would report to Dona Daemona and she would let them know what kind of activity she expected from their divisions. The problem with this arrangement was that several members who had become Capo’s simply quit playing There, and noone else could access the club leader page for the maintenance of those clubs. No new applications could be approved or invitations sent out. Several divisions had to be started over while the old ones remain in existence due to the club leaders neglect to disband them properly.

Big Club, Big Problems:
The Capo who got too big for his britches: When Dona Daemona ran into Sammyboy she saw in him a potential for greatness and quickly recruited him to lead her enforcers unit. When Dona Daemona reinstituted hits as a means for the clubs to earn some money, three mafia members were given the power to grant hits. Loox, Dona Daemona, and Sammyboy. Reports soon made their way back to the Dona that Sammyboy was using his mafia status to verbally threaten other Thereians. On several occasions the Dona theremailed Sammyboy and informed him that his behavior was unacceptable. He continued to talk big and the final act that sealed his fate was an unauthorized hit on Queen_KBC. Queen was summoned, and as she ported in, Sammyboy and two other non-mafia members opened fire on her. Sammyboy knew it was wrong to do because he did not send in the screenshot to be included on our hits page as proof of service fulfillment. The decision was made to “chase” Sammyboy.

At an emergency meeting Sammyboy was stripped of his Caporegime title and removed from The_Mafia. It was announced that his division was no longer part of Dona Daemona’s organization. All Wiseguys who wished to remain with Dona Daemona could quit his club and join one of the two new divisions formed for sharpshooters, Mafia_Black_Widows led by Giga_i3ai3y and the male division led by Tek_02. Dona Daemona warned her loyal crew members not to harass, threaten, or otherwise annoy Sammyboy or any of his club members who wished to remain loyal to him. If he wanted to talk big to us in the future he was more than welcome to pick a fun zone and challenge us to a race, paintball match, etc. Beyond that we had nothing to give him.

The one and only traitor in our midst:
This individual was at one time a There employee by the avatar name of Wubbly. When his There employment ended his avatar name switched to Bari. This individual forwarded club emails to our known adversary (see below) which of course furnished this adversary with our entire member list, which he could then use to harass and annoy our members if he so chose. Wubbly/Bari also gave his mafia flak to this person. Wubbly was quickly removed from the mafia and is one of the few people Dona Daemona will paintball on site.

This club had issues with:
Watersign: Loox paid 3 wiseguys to perform a hit on Watersign. Watersign went nuts and started staking out the mafia clubhouse, waiting for members to port in so that he could paintball them from the sky above. He entered the house and dropped a scroll telling the mafia that he was going to work hard to have the club disbanded. Upon reading this threatening message inside of her own clubhouse Dona Daemona spazzed out and sent a club email to the entire Mafia organization warning all members to stay away from Watersign, not to engage in any IM’s or conversations with him that he could use to get the club or the members banned from there. Wubbly/Bari then forwarded that email to Watersign, giving him the full member list as theremails to clubs always list every member that they are sent to. Eventually Dona Daemona contacted Watersign and while they have not patched anything up between them, they have come to a truce and basically agree to stay away from each other.

Bad Blood, Old Feuds

Dona Daemona was but a lowly foot soldier at the time of Don Nezroy’s very public feuds with The_White_Light and Jopy. Dona Daemona bears neither of them any ill will. After talking with both members extensively both have been placed on her buddies list, and The_White_Light is even a current member of the new mafia re-organized under Giga-i3ai3y!

How this club fell apart:
Well it didn’t really fall apart. The club leadership was transferred from Daemona to Giga_i3ai3y. The new Dona cleaned house, disbanded the club, and invited back the members who were still active that she wanted to keep around. Many of the separate divisions are still in place with the same Capo’s leading them. Several new divisions have been created. Dona Daemona often logs in and hands out gifts to the loyal Mafioso who attend the events. It’s even rumored that Dona Daemona may be reviving some of her old past times in There, such as the Pawn Shop and adult entertainment business! Never count a good Dona down!
