In Character rules:
Hunting
Any wolf, mated couple, or small group of wolves (no more than three) may hunt for small game at any time. However, a pack hunt must involve a wolf of rank (alpha, beta, or delta), and must consist of no less than 3 wolves, and no more than 5 wolves total, and a wolf of rank must participate. Don't worry, everyone takes their turns at going along with the hunt, and will so soon join one. Pups under the age of six months may not participate, but they may watch. That goes with the wolves that are not participating: they may watch the hunt, but they may not get involved.
Wolves on the hunt may not speak with any non-hunting wolf, as this would not happen in real life. They may, however, rp in the Neopets chat and any other chat that Crescent Moon is involved in, just so long as it is not on the guild message boards. Once the hunt is over, however, life returns to normal.
Players must post in the order that it states in the hunting announcement, and no one may post out of order. This is why it is so important that we have Active members.
When posting a hunting message, you MUST put "Hunt:(name of wolf)" in the subject line. This is vital, so that there is no confusion.
An example of a hunt with three group members: Anicci, StormFury, and Zitix...
Anicci: *slinks into the forest, followed by her groupmates, her body low to the ground and hidden, moving easily though the brush and foilage. Up ahead, she spots a buck feeding in a small clearing. She stops, immediately signaling to the others what she sees*
StormFury:
*spots the buck even before Anicci's signal and freezes beside her, her eyes stalking the bucks every move. She glances at Anicci momentarily, waiting for the signal to move in*
Zitix
*stops in his tracks next to the Delta and his pack mate. His eyes scan the clearing, searching for any other deer that may be the buck's companions. After a moment, he decides there are none and looks to Anicci*
Anicci
*grins evilly at the others and signals for each to move farther to her side, as in to surround the buck from all three sides. She herself stays low to the ground, her muscles tense and ready to spring*
StormFury
*moves quickly and silently to Anicci's right, not making a sound. Once she believes herself to be in the perfect position, her ears twitch and listen carefully for Anicci's attack bark*
Zitix
*watches Storm move to the right and immediately begins slinking to the left. Not even a growl comes from him as he moves lithely to his position. Stopping and crouching, he watches Anicci, waiting, already tasting the sweet, fresh flesh in his watering mouth*
Anicci
*seeing her packmates move to their position, she lets out a high, short bark as her muscles spring, carrying her in a nearly-flying leap out of the brush, into the clearing. Landing smoothly, she takes off in a mad dash after the buck, who as begun to swerve to her left*
And so the hunt continues.
