Outlaw Universe Codex

The Outlaw Universe

The Outlaw Universe, also known as explored universe number 192 is apart of the Terranic-Imperial sub dimensional rift. Unlike the ancient Terran’s theory of dimensions being simply different visible plains such as length, width, and depth it was instead an inter-coexistent sector in time and space. The great Imperial war race has mastered travel between each dimension. The current year is 7082 in our terms, but only 2198AGW (After the Great War) in Imperial time.

The Other Universes

There is no specific number to the amount of existing dimensions. Each dimension is unique in it’s own special way. Either it is its inhabitants or recourse layout. Universes are grouped now in four rifts: Terranic-Imperial, Far, Dark, and the Uncharted Universe dimensional rifts.

Terranic-Imperial: These dimensions are directly under the influence of the Impire, as well as the populations being substantially Terran. The amount of dimensions in this category is a steady 193.

Far: This series of dimensions is totally alien, no Terrans exist there at all. It seems that the creatures there are kind, and sharing individuals. They however belong to their own sanctions and are not Imperial. There is a known 48.

Dark: First exploration of this sector was conducted during the second Imperial war. It was a mistake. The only three explored sectors are the most evil, far sided, un-conscious places any animal had ever been in. They where used as criminal disposal for ten years, but escaped animals raged havoc on civilized worlds. The whole rift has been sealed.

Uncharted: Mostly a combination of exotic alien life plus resource rich provinces of uncharted deep space. There is only a known twelve.

The Long History Of The Outlaw Universe

Before the Outlaw Universe was in contact with any Imperial traveler, the Enchant Terrans inhabited it. They originated from what seem the northwest sectors. However, after many years, their originating world was lost in myth and legend, it was a place called Earth. Oddly at the time, 2021 our time, 2863PI (Pre-Imperial) Imperial terms, Terrans only inhabited the Outlaw Universe. This poses the theory that all Terranic life forms originated in the Outlaw Universe. Twenty years later an eruption of Terrans spread throughout the Terranic-Imperial dimensional rift sector. The great Terran race vanished without a trace only one hundred years before the first Imperials began life on Imperious, 192 jumps away. By then other factions began to appear in the Outlaw Universe, notably the Tich, Zozar, and Virtra who all claimed descendentness from the Ancient Terrans, they are called the Old Terran races. Later, the Religious Sanctions came to the front stage. They consisted primarily of the Duuch, Arkanen, and SIBORG races. Their religion base was totally pacifistic, however they sought out to destroy any un-believers in the process. Conflicts arouse. In the Imperial year of 1338PI the first of three great wars broke forth between the Old Terran races and the Religious sanctions. The three wars followed each other simultaneously and covered a stretch of more than a century; they ended with the total annihilation of the Religious Sanctions. In the year 201PI another larger race was discovered to inhabit the outlaw Universe, the Grang. The Grang where a large war race, and conflict arouse between them and the Arkanen. The conflict began in 28PI and ended with a truce in 12PGW (Pre-Great War).
Several small conflicts arouse between the Grang and SIBORGS in 58PGW, 212PGW, 1201PGW, and during the Imperial Great War. Later was a long lasting piece time, stretching far into 293AGW. Many fine cities and divine civilizations came to be. The religious sanctions reformed in the new Arkanen Tri-Archy, ruling well, however in the year 1900AGW the first Imperial contact happened. A science outpost was stationed near a small nebula, studying the nearby scientific conditions. At 3:00 exactly, the science outpost detected a large energy spike, and at 3:01 a large blue portal appeared in the nebula, three massive ships of totally alien construction appeared. Contact between the Impire and the other races happened shortly. The Impire was kind and giving, teaching the small races the fundamentals of Imperial knowledge, wealth, and might. Although the Impire gave a great effect on to the Outlaw Universe, only a small few ships where allowed to visit its sectors, resulting in great demand for their items. The Impire was giving, but it shared little of it’s past. And it is no surprise to scholars that when the Arkanen Tri-Archy discovered the Impire’s short but bloody past, that they secretly planned a way to rid the dimension of all Imperial sinners. The plan formed and was in acted in 2132AGW. During the warp in of a large Imperial dreadnought, the only ship carrying the necessary warp codes and equipment to open a gate at the time, did a large Arkanen war fleet subspace in and assault the dreadnought. It was slowly losing the lopsided battle when an offshoot ion canon hit the ships central reactor. That collapsed the fusion torch drives, and disrupted the warp code matrix, leaving a third of the ship in the Outlaw Universe. The rest was either lost in the fabric of time and space, or stayed where it was before warp. The resulting explosion jammed the dimension from all inter dimensional travel. Few survived. Over the next course of 62 years Imperial soldiers where fiercely hunted down and slaughtered. With no hope for more supplies or reinforcements, the new cut off Impire was forced to hide. Few believe they did so successfully. The next four years where fairly peaceful…

Races

Millions of races exist in every dimension. But since exploration in the Outlaw Universe is limited only few are known. The important ones are listed below.

Arkanen

Froglike and tall, the Arkanen are an ancient race dating back beyond the dawns of the Ancient Terrans. They are mostly peaceful, or so they say.

Government: The Arkanen are ruled by a singular Tri-Archy government. Fellow subordinates elect each high bishop; laws and rules are passed by votes in the Tri-Archy. The rules are thought up, engineered and created in a sub council, pooled directly from the people.

Life: Arkanen folk live moderately long lives spanning about three hundred years. Life in the Arkanen controlled sectors is mostly pacifistic, it’s events and happenings triggered and influenced only by religion.

Anatomy: Although quite similar to a human. Arkanens have highly sensitive lungs, enabling them to breath atmospheres quite un-breathable to other races.

Sancts and Sanctions: All ideas, but those allowed by the church, are strictly banned, and enforced with horrific punishments. The only known sanction of Arkanen is the Religious Sanctions, a diverse group of believers that was established sometime after contact with the Terrans. Military: The Arkanen keep a strong, up to date military. It has been credited with defeating the Impire in the Outlaw Universe.

Imperial

The greatest civilization that has ever been in existence, the Impire is a huge, trans-dimensional, military, and economical superpower. However no matter how hard they try, they cannot escape their bloody past.

Government: The formal Imperial government consists of a First General, three First Chairmen, and a council divided into ten Chairmen. The First General is the most powerful being in the known universe. He has full and total control of the Impire, and all it’s actions. If his actions are inappropriate however, the First Chairmen can override his command and take control. To form laws the council passes ideas to the First Chairmen, who pass a law-like forum to the First General for his verdict.

Life: As much as an Imperial resembles a Terran, they are immortal, making life long and pleasing. Imperials keep an up to date nobility bloodline, this limits those that can become First Generals, and other high-ranking officials. Imperils know much, but of all of it, it is war they know best. It is an every day part of them, and it is rare for any Imperial to say he is not a veteran.

Anatomy: Imperials look exactly like Terrans, except for very sharp facial expressions and little emotions. The only distinct facial feature is long, black eyebrows. In more detail, Imperials posses twelve “Immortality” glands that regenerate dead cells and matter within minutes. These glands act like parasites and can “Grow” onto another Terranic being by means of bodily fluid transfers. This also makes Imperials very immune to death; some are known to have “Died” over ten times.

Sancts and Sanctions: The Impire has only one sanction, itself. However the Impire is credited with over one hundred civil wars, and revolutions. They happen often.

Military: The Impire is a war race and it lives up to this name well. There shielding, anti-psi, and cloak generators are unmatched anywhere. Oddly the Imperial Navy, Marines, Special Ops, Space Force, and Army are all individually based. Each has separate generals, commanders, intelligent agencies etc… This encourages rivalry, and productivity. Imperial training is known to be some of the hardest ever created.

Grang

Fairly large, bulky, tooth-full, and heavily armored, the Grang compromise the largest war race known to be native to the Outlaw Universe.

Government: The Grang Empire, although alien in most aspects to Terran standards, is a formal Republic. Each system state is ruled by it’s own council and low governors, and the combined states are ruled by a large council and head governor who make decisions for the whole empire.

Life: Although large and naturally heavily armed and armored, the Grang live fairly short lives, spanning from 90-100 years of age. Most life in the Grang Empire is war based and influenced, all males are required to join the military and tend to enjoy the spoils of war.

Anatomy: The Grang tend to resemble large compacted lizard-like creatures. They are naturally armed with claws, scales, muscles, and many heavily plated bones making them natural fighters. Like with most lizards the Females tend to be larger and more armored than males. However in the Grang case, they are not as aggressive as males.

Sancts and Sanctions: There are a known nineteen Grang sanctions. Each one is it’s own system state and acts separate from the rest when not in war.

Military: Sometimes called “crazy” or “illogical”, Grang craft tend to be oddly shaped, if not outright confusing. The Grang military is well trained, and it’s numbers quite impressive, however the equipment usually lacks the proper maintenance. All Grang craft are heavily armed and armed, naturally, but always lack in speed when compared with rivals.

Duuch

Notably one of the more peaceful and artistic races to inhabit the outlay universe, the Duuch have come a long way from their pre Imperial contact times.

Government: The Duuch government, although quite self-richous, is an actual full-scale monarchy. A head Emperor, leads the whole civilization. Life: The average Duuch citizen lives seventy years, although quite short they accomplish much in their short lives. Credited as the most artistic race, most Duuch people are artists, musicians, and scientists. Working for the good of their people.

Anatomy: Somewhat bobcat like, and somewhat Terran in stature and figure. The Duuch are as Terran as the Terrans themselves. They posses the same physical, mental and overall health related attributes. Although the two races are so alike, the Duuch do have larger peripheral lobes, as well as larger muscle mass and overall appearance.

Sancts and Sanctions: The Duuch are separated into four known Sancts: The Pre-Imperian Duuch, who believe in the ways the Duuch acted when they where still in the religious sanctions. The Commons, who are the peasants, workers, and laborers of the Duuch Empire. The Setis, or the scientists, artists, and musicians. And the Milic group, which is the elite group responsible for the Duuch military.

Military: Although the Duuch people prefer piece to war, they sustain one of the better-equipped and trained militaries. Members are hand chosen from berth and play out vital commanding roles for the rest of their lives. Somewhat more nimble than other ships and fighters, the Duuch counter their problem by using some of the most devastating swarm tactics ever created.

The SIBORG

Probably the newest of all the races, the SIBORG combine mass production with state of the art equipment to make some of the best items, weapons, and people.

Government: Technically a mimic of the Duuch Empire and the Arkanen Tri Archy, the SIBORG use the same principle system as both, but without a council or sub council at all. Decisions are directly done buy the three leaders.

Life: Although their name suggests the whole race acts like a whole machine. The SIBORG people are as independent from each other as ones foot from ones hand. The people tend to be hardy, life loving individuals based on mining, recourse gathering, and technology.

Anatomy: As their name suggests, the SIBORG are half animal, half mechanical entities. The specific race that the SIBORG originate their base people from is still a closely monitored secret, but recent intelligence shows it is a somewhat Terran like knockoff. This “Flesh” race is oddly born to die, not to survive the first stages of life and beyond. This problem was quickly fixed buy means of implanting all the life giving apparatuses into the bodies of the people, giving us the modern day SIBORGS.

Sancts and Sanctions: There is an only known one sanction to the SIBORG Tri-Archy, themselves.

Military: The SIBORG have the most high tech and up to date military around. Warrior SIBORGS are raised from birth to be outstanding leaders and ferocious enemies. Although one of the best, the SIBORG have the smallest in comparison to any other race, the members few but willing.

The Jaihi

Newly Discovered Race: No data is available yet, while the war rages on the Jaihi have token advantage and are attacking all Races. Equipped with alien technology the Jaihi seem to be coming form the far North Eastern sectors. They only available corpses have been dissected to point out several physical characteristics, long slender heads, with no ports for eyes or nostrils, and black, shinny water resistant skin. More data to come when available.
