Minioshia 11,900
Dionon 13,130
Sacooru 35,800
Friendly Enemy This story takes place AFTER “Betrayal and Redemption”
Months on Namek have made Chakrin stronger as well as weak. He longs to know more from Julianna and what she could tell him of his past. He had met her during his travels, while in search of the Namek Dragon Balls; she had proved to be knowledgeable as well as beautiful. It was only through her that he would learn of his past and possibly even what his future might hold in store for him.
A “V” formation of 6 planes were visible off in the distance, silhouetted against the sunset they flew in toward the abandoned town. Leaving a heat wave trail as they flew on, disrupting the sky from its perfect form. Across the sky to the east was a horrendous storm that only grew in strength as it moved across the Namekian planet.

Once again the screen faded to black before bringing up a new set of possible candidates.
“Scanning…Found…”
The on-board computer was the most sophisticated machine ever conceived, able to find anyone of any power level anywhere in the universe. Today was just a simple training exercise to show its capabilities to the “Top Brass.” Since the beginning of the program, its true mission was to bring together the most powerful beings, run DNA extraction and annihilate them. Thus making it the most deadly program ever conceived.
However due to lack of proper funding and corrupt officials it had been “EXECUTED FROM FURTHER DEVELPOMENT INDEFINITLY” Of course as with all search and destroy projects it was leaked out to the highest bidder, now its underground HQ’s is unknown and thus far, untraceable.
With this mission and with all previous missions only six units were sent to a hot zone to extract the target, no more no less. Rarely was there ever a need to use all of the units but as precautions go, it was necessary.
The computer screen starred blankly back at the soldier using it, as it awaited its next command, which was given in time.
“Our target is the “half-breed”. His so called “maker” was the one that paid for this mission so he is the boss until further instructions are given is that understood?” The voice of a stern woman growled through the headsets of the other soldiers.
“Yes Ma’am,” Echoed back into her headset as she waited for a hit on the scanners.
With a slow and steady hand she took his in hers and gently squeezed. Letting him know that what she needed to say was truly important. So important; in fact; that it was bringing her to tears.
Looking up, through the tears that had started to fall, she saw his eyes. Filled with worry and fear of the worst, they waited and longed for her to say what she had been holding secret for so long.
Static echoed over the comm-link for a brief second before a voice was finally heard.
“Target located, sector E-79er’. What are your orders Sir?” The somewhat flimsy sounding voice was known as Radar. His name was a perfect description of his abilities. Useful in locating targets as well as passing on messages, and that was it.
“Close in on target, no one move until I give the green light.”
“Yes Sir…ALL UNITS CLOSE IN ON TARGET, STAND BY FOR CONFIRMATION”
He never blinked once, while he was looking into her eyes he couldn’t give himself a chance to miss any hint of what was on her mind…what was on her lips that ached to be spoken.
Slowly she looked down at the ground. Watching a single tear as it hit the ground to make a perfect circle in its wake. Wondering if this was just a horrible nightmare or real life. Filled with pain she looked back up toward his tearful eyes.
“What…what is it…?” Holding back the tears and trying not to choke up as he spoke, Chakrin could feel the worst was coming and without a way to stop it, he was helpless.
“I’m afraid I’ve come too late. People are on there way right now to kill you!” She was choking on her tears as she hurriedly spit out this horrible news.
“Target in the building, stand by for read out.” The droning voice of the computer marched on as it finished its scan of Chakrin. “Target-84737-234A. Known as Chakrin. Current power level is at 5,000.”
“How accurate is that thing?” Asking calmly the woman seemed to care little about the answer.
“The computer is only as accurate as the scanners. I’ll have a better read-out once the extraction is in hand. That’s what makes this so fun, right Major?”
“Please!! Don’t go out there Chakrin!” Julianna’s voice rang out through the now falling rain. Her voice was stern, harder than granite rock. Her eyes had the look of empty hopelessness in them. She knew she couldn’t stop him from going through with the challenge. Even if it meant his death he wasn’t going to back down, not from them not from anyone, right or wrong.
Looking outside the building through the slowly falling rain, Chakrin watched as not one or two but as eight of the all black soldiers stood in a wide arch outside the building. Though he was scared to death on the inside, he wasn’t going to let anyone else aware of his fear. He would take that fear to the grave if he had to, but never would an enemy know.
“Subject 84737-234A. You are to come out immediately and surrender.”
“What? 847…what the fuck am I? Some kind of production line part?!” Becoming angrier with the number than the idea of giving up, Chakrin stood tall as he looked back at Julianna. “I’m not going to just give up. It ain’t my style. I can sense that there are quit a few people out there that want me so if you don’t mind, maybe you could get back to base and ask if anyone feels like havin’ some fun” With that Chakrin raised his hands to his head and walked out of the rundown building. In the pouring rain and quick flashes of lightening, he could see that he was well outnumbered and even more out matched.
“Good luck Chakrin, I only hope you can last long enough.” Running quickly from the back of the building Julianna made her way across the wind and rain torn planet to seek out help for Chakrin.
“Sir, scanners are picking up another life form leaving the site. It seems to be a very low power level, should we neutralize it?” Informing the Major of this new presence Radar awaited her reply.
“Negative. By the time they reach help we’ll be long gone.” Confident in her troops the Major kept her eyes on the target.
“So guys! How’s it goin’?” Still keeping his hands on top of his head Chakrin strolled out into the rain, further away from the building, further away from safety.
Slightly confused with his actions the eight soldiers slightly lowered their guns as Chakrin stopped and slowly turned to show he had no weapons on him. As he turned, he took in every detail of his surroundings. Marked each location in distance in his head and took count of his enemy. Five hovering vehicles, one resting silently on the Namek soil with the doors wide open.
Thinking in his head he did the math and came up with a rough estimate of the enemy count, 48.
“Well its kinda nice to know that so many of you have come out to see me. I’m hoping that I won’t be so much trouble for you.” Trying to keep his emotions hidden he played out his innocent role as best he could.
“Stop where you are! This is RECAL* . We are here to talk to you.”
“Lying from the start. This should make for a fun game.” Thinking to himself Chakrin could only hope to stall for a while longer. Hopefully Julianna was close to getting help.
“So umm…nice weather we’re havin’ huh?” Looking up into the sky Chakrin watched as lightening reached out like fingers, stretching across the sky. “Great weather.”
“Sir, something’s not right. He’s spooked. His vitals are all over the place. Its like he’s waiting for something I don’t really know what he’s doing.” Radar’s voice squeaked over the comm-links to his superior.
Smiling slightly she stood inside the hovering craft before she spoke.
“He’s not waiting on anything, he’s stalling. Tell them to move NOW!” Grabbing her gun she jumped out of the ship and repelled through open air towards the ground, face first.
Immediately the order was relayed to the ground troops and the battle ensued. Raising their guns back into the locked and ready position. The laser sights all pointed to Chakrin’s head as they slowly tightened the circle around him.
“I take it the gigs up then? Ok, ok, I admit it! I was hoping that some friends would at least show up or something by now.” Lowering his hands he slowly started to charge his energy. “They might be jealous that I have all 48 of you to myself.”
Exploding in his deep blue aura Chakrin charged at a single soldier, shoulder ramming him through a nearby wall. Upon impact the soldier was knocked out and the roof of what was left of the building, caved in on the soldier. Turning in mid-stride Chakrin launched a few ki blasts at a nearby soldier. Colliding sternly with the bulletproof vest the ki blasts exploded furiously burning the visible skin on the soldier as he was tossed through the air like a rag doll. Careening into the nose of one of the hovering ships, his face exploded upon impact as it met the titanium alloy hull of the ship with full force.
“HELP! Someone please! HELP!” Yelling as loudly as she could she finally reached the base. Immediately the warriors on watch sent word to those in charge and again the message was sent further along.
“It’s Chakrin! He needs help!” Gasping for breath Julianna struggled to talk as she gasped for air.
Appearing in front of her was Sacooru. Looking up she could only whisper in a rasping voice that Chakrin was in danger and would surely die if no one helped him. Making this new information top priority Sacooru sent word for others to follow immediately. Focusing on Chakrin’s power level Sacooru placed his index and middle finger on his head and vanished.
Grabbing the weapon from his new victim, Chakrin unloaded a clip of ammunition into the side of the soldier. Being the weak point in the armor, the bullets pierced the vest and the chest cavity of the soldier. Penetrating the man’s side the bullets passed easily through ribs and tissue. The other side of the soldier’s chest exploded with blood and guts. Pieces of bone, heart and lungs painted the ground five feet away as the life from this soldier was ended.
“AHHH!!” Screaming into the headgear the remaining five soldiers charged Chakrin unleashing hell as they pulled the triggers back on their automatic rifles. Ripping through the air the bullets zipped past Chakrin as he used what was left of the dead soldier to shield himself from the harsh sting of the bullets.
Flashing into his head was a scene from the recurring dream that he had. With him fighting a group of soldiers and using the body of one to take the blast of a grenade. They were all dressed the same. From head to toe, each soldier had the same guns and armor and headgear as they did in his dream. Somehow it was all connected.
Taking flight Chakrin held the body in front of him as he sailed closer to the panicked soldiers. Using the lifeless body as a shield he finally ran into the five soldiers knocking them off their feet, and even better, giving Chakrin a chance to take their guns.
Spinning on his heel he launched the human shield at one of the ships. Quickly he moved in and swiped the guns from the fallen soldiers. Bending the barrels, rendering them useless. Picking up one of the fallen soldiers he punched him hard across the face. Then he used his arms strength and punched the man’s gut until he had punched through the armor and into the now disemboweled soldier. Dropping the man immediately, Chakrin watched as the intestines in his hands were pulled from the man’s stomach as he fell. Looking up Chakrin saw that his body armor had made its way into the windshield of one of the ships.
“Four down 44 to go.” Smirking slightly by the bloodshed that he had caused with only 4 bodies, Chakrin continued his beating on the reaming four soldiers killing them swiftly and easily.
“Major! I’m sending in the second wave now!” Radar’s voice was heard through the comm system of the soldiers as the next hovering craft got the green light to unload its personnel.
Watching the ship move into position Chakrin charged energy into his hand and then moved it to his index finger as it grew in strength. Waiting for the precise moment he saw his window of opportunity. Shooting the Kaio blast at the unsuspecting ship to his right he nailed the engine causing it to explode, ripping the left wing completely off the ship. Without hesitation he charged up a ki blast and held it a little longer than he normally would have. The slightly larger blast was launched from his hands forming a small tail behind it as it traveled to the wounded ship. Exploding on the already damaged side of the ship the blast tore into the ship ripping it apart as bodies could be seen trying to escape death.
Quickly the other ships moved back as they waited turns to drop the soldiers into the hot zone. Finishing the drop, the soldiers waved the ship clear to send in another group of soldiers. Taking on defensive positions behind half built wall and chunks of concrete with rusty rebar sticking out of it.
Taking note of this Chakrin moved back into the building that he had been in before all this all started. Checking for damage and injuries he cleared himself as being ok and good to go. Peaking out from behind the wall Chakrin watched as the other three ships unloaded their cargo.
“Damn! They must really not like me.” Taking count again Chakrin found he was still outnumbered. “Jesus, what the hell is so important about me that they need all that firepower to bring me in?!”
“Actually they want to kill you.” Jumping up and flipping over the voice’s head Chakrin landed gracefully ready to fight.
“Sacooru! You bastard don’t ever do that again!” Yelling at the Namek, Chakrin stuck his hand out to welcome him to the party.
“Sorry to just appear like that. So how many are there?” Getting straight to business Sacooru brought reality back to Chakrin.
“Well, there was 48 when they started. Umm…32, I believe. I’m going by my first count. One ship was empty and I counted eight soldiers so…” Trailing off he knew that Sacooru had gotten the idea.
“Any power level readings?”
“Holy crap I forgot all about that!” Scanning the area Chakrin made mental notes as he made a scan of about half the soldiers. “Well, on average its about 2,000. I get a spike about every sixth guy, 7,000. And then there is the badass chick. Well, she is runnin’ about 30,000.” Quickly Chakrin went on to the next order of business as Sacooru’s eyes widened.
“30,000!!! Are you sure?! We may have some problems, Chakky.”
“Dude! Look for yourself!” Holding out his arm so that Sacooru could see for himself.
“Ok, well what do you think we should do?” Checking out the scene Sacooru prepared himself for a hard battle.
Chuckling a little bit before he answered Chakrin finally replied.
“I kinda was goin’ balls to the wall and it seemed to work pretty well. They’ve got automatic rifles, armor, and the ones I’ve already dispatched had a few grenades so…”
“Hmm…you go left I’ll go right. They might not know that I’m here so lets take advantage of the surprise while we can.”
“Sir? I’m picking up a huge power level on the scanners.”
“What do you mean, huge?” As if answering her reply the two Namek warriors charged in to the battle zone.
Sacooru moved quickly through the soldiers. He never killed any of them, but he did knock them out or just electrocuted them until they passed out. One after the other Sacooru moved steadily to the next man. Chakrin though slower in the deed was out for blood and showed it to everyone by ripping heads off shoulders or tossing bodies into the air. Jumping up under the soldiers he would ram his knee into their backs to kill them. He and Sacooru took out about half of the shaken army before they could form an offensive and push the two back into hiding.
“Huge as in more than you!” The obvious answer was silenced as the Major interrupted.
“I see that! Why don’t you let the ships know about there location and blast them out of there?!” Yelling into the headset by the time she finished the Major sank back down behind a crumbled wall.
“I don’t like the way this is going General.” The voice was unknown to anyone and was merely replying to the onscreen display of the battle on Namek.
“Relax Inghart. My men will do their job.” A second voice, much deeper and more hoarse than the first replied with a matter of fact tone.
“They better. They are supposed to be the best at what they do. They are getting torn apart like a dog’s chew toy. I need that sample General. The experiment relies on what is inside his blood.” Resting in silence the two watched on as the screens changed perspectives from the ship to a soldier’s view.
“You’ll get your sample.” Ending the conversation the General and Inghart looked on as a fist covered with electric current smashed the camera and ended the circuit.
“Piece of shit! Shoot at me will ya?!” Pulling his hand out of the helmet Chakrin looked elsewhere to vent his anger.
Sacooru was handling his own as five soldiers surrounded him and locked themselves into a dance of punches and kicks. Moving slowly away from the main battle group Sacooru fought his way into a run down broken building as he continued to block and parry the attacks.
“Angels 3 and 5, away!”
“Angels 6 and 8, away!”
Screaming through the rainy night sky, four missiles slammed into the half standing building that Sacooru was in. Exploding upon impact the missiles sent shock waves out into the storm. Pushing rain in the opposite direction the blast leveled the building leaving a dust cloud in its wake.
“NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!” Powering up beyond anything that he had felt before Chakrin unleashed a massive aura of deep blue color with small amounts of electricity running through it.
Taking on four of the soldiers by himself Chakrin matched each of them punch for punch kick for kick. He was in another world as his body took on this new power to liberate the pain and loss of his friend, Sacooru.
“Major! He’s off the charts! You’ve got to get that sample now!”
Acknowledging Radar’s request she moved in quickly. Still faster than Chakrin she was able to stab his neck with a syringe and withdraw blood before he was able to return the favor.
“I’ve got it! I’m sending it to you now! Lets get the hell out of here!” Jumping into the air she took a hit from a Kaio blast as she tried to make it on to the ship. Her path to freedom and safety was short lived as she was knocked into the dirt. Leaving her and the other soldiers behind Radar escaped to the safety of space with the sample in the data banks of the ship.
Moving faster than he had ever moved before he was seemingly unstoppable as his rage extinguished any nature of humanity that he had left in him. Fighting off one after the other, he had lost all control and went after anything that moved. Launching massive ki attacks on the ships he destroyed three more while in his rage.
“Are you seeing this?” Minioshia looked over to Dionon in awe.
“It’s called rage. I’ve read about different races having unique abilities in times of desperate needs. Something must have set him off to put him into that kind of overdrive.” Dionon looked around slowly noticed that something was wrong. “Where’s Sacooru?”
“Look.” Tapping on Dionon’s shoulder Minioshia pointed to the rubble and the now settling dust cloud.
“Oh no.” Staying low Dionon led the way as they stayed out of sight. The two went to the pile of rock to try and dig out Sacooru.
Looking around him Chakrin felt his rage still fueling the fire to this new state of power as he braced himself for the biggest attack he knew. Steadily building up the power he left himself open for attack as he spread his arms out allowing the energy to travel through his body.
“We’ve got to distract those men or they’ll kill Chakrin!” Dionon was the first to notice the build up in power coming from Chakrin. As he and Minioshia pulled Sacooru out of the rubble they noticed that something was odd about his form. Soon it was clear to them that it wasn’t Sacooru at all. “A clone?”
“Yes, I needed to save my energy as best I could so I made a clone and disappeared for a few seconds. After I knocked the so called Major into the dirt I saw how much power Chakrin was putting out so I let him use it” Walking up behind them Sacooru explained the events that had transpired.
“Chakrin thinks your dead!” Yelled Minioshia as he pointed to the soldiers that were reaching for their guns.
“He’s gonna be if we don’t do something!” Sacooru quickly charged a Kienzan and launched it at the soldier’s guns cutting them in half as it traveled past them and into the last remaining ship.
“COVER OF NIGHT!” Releasing his stored power upon his unsuspecting foes Chakrin’s signature move made it impossible for the soldiers to escape. Moving in a rhythmic fashion Chakrin went to each soldier and used their own knives to disembowel them before he went back and cut out their tongues. Still moving at incredible speeds he charged a ki blast above his head and held it as long as he could. Forcing it to grow to amazing proportions, the energy in his hands started to spark before Chakrin finally threw it at the soldiers.
The explosion ripped through the armor like a hot knife in butter. Immediately, the stench of burnt flesh was consumed by the eerie silence of death. Collapsing in tears and confusion Chakrin laid in silence as he could only look over at the smoldering pile of rubble where Sacooru had once been.
As soon as his attack ended Chakrin could feel the burden of gravity grab him and force him to drop to his knees. He turned to see a soldier that had made it past the Cover of Night and was now holding a gun to Chakrin's head. Almost immediately, Dionon moved in with a clothesline to stop the soldier from killing Chakrin.
Watching the helmet fly off of the soldier's head Chakrin reached out and caught it. The face guard was solid black to keep out any light, but attached to the left side of the helmet was a camera.
"Eat shit! Send more if you want. I'll take care of all of them!" Yelling at the helmet Chakrin punched his hand against the outside of the helmet as he finished the live feed of the fight.
Moving in quickly, Dionon and Minioshia move in to take out any remaining enemies. He could hear the two warriors fight bravely for a fallen comrade, just the way he did for Sacooru. Before his vision blurred and faded to black he saw Sacooru walking towards him to pick him up and take him to safe grounds.
Propped up against the rocks Chakrin was barely able to look on as his three companions surrounded the Major.
"What was his death needed for?" Asked Dionon calmly.
"Piss off! Its to the death now arm yourselves!" The woman took little time to talk and even more time to kick ass.
She swiftly moved to Minioshia plowing into his face with a single fist he was sent into the dirt. Turning, she quickly hit Dionon squarly in the chest to send him in the other direction.
"Weaklings. You are all pathetic!" Sacooru looked down to see that spit had landed on his shirt.
"You are not so wise lady." Immediatly she came at Sacooru, but he was ready. Dodging and punching, kicking and dodging. Sacooru easily outmatched her. He was simply stalling for a while so that Dionon and Minioshia could join in the fight.
Dionon stood slowly to his feet assisted by Minioshia. Together they talked over a plan and set it into action. Dionon's job was easy he was going to use his Ki Shower to end this battle while Minioshia would help Sacooru immobilize the Major.
For Dionon this feat took a little bit of time and both Sacooru and Minoshia knew it. They fought with the woman to the best of their abilities. Slowly reducing her power level little by little. Minioshia could tell that she was losing power as he was able to get more and more hits on her instead of being blocked every time he tried to hit her.
They continued this for what seemed like hours to Chakrin as he watched for a few seconds before his eyes closed again. Then, when he opened his eyes to see what was going on he could only see Sacooru and Minioshia running at him. His eyes widened as they jumped into the air.
Behind them he heard an agonizing scream as the small ki beams rained down upon her. Piercing her body several times. Dionon fell to his knee as he watched to make sure the woman was finished.
After the shower was over Sacooru and Minioshia picked up Chakrin and took him over to the woman who was now lying motionless in the dirt. She opened her eyes and looked at Chakrin.
"Forgive me...my brother..."
No one spook a word as Chakrin dropped to his knees and picked the woman up in his arms.
"I don't understand."
"Someday you...will meet others. We are not...so different Chakrin. I only wish I would of had...met you sooner..."
Gasping for air the woman slowly closed her eyes as she took Chakrin's hand.
"You must leave...before it's too late."
"Guys shes armed with a self destruct bomb!" Dionon had been scanning her body and knew exactly what was going on. "Its triggered from a remote location, but its been triggered! We need to leave now!"
"NO! I can't leave her!" Struggling to keep his sister in his arms Chakrin desperatly tried to fight off Sacooru and Minioshia as they pulled him away from her.
"How much time do we have?" Asked Minioshia as he dodged a kick from Chakrin who was still fighting to go back to her.
"I'd say about 10 seconds maybe less. We need to get to that building and quick!"
Looking up Sacooru and Minioshia could see that it was quite far. Looking at eachother they knew it wasn't possible with him kicking and screaming.
"May I?" Asked Minioshia
"Please!" replied Sacooru as he held Chakrin up.
Looking straight ahead he could see Minioshia wind up to punch him.
"Kiss my a..."
Knocked out cold the three warriors picked up the limp body and moved to saftey just as the bomb exploded. The initial shock wave leveled the nearby buildings as it moved out the shock wave lost power. As it hit the building the warriors had sought out for saftey the shockwave simple shook the walls and ripped pieces of the roof off.
After the deadening silence the explosion followed. The force of the explosion forced the building to crumble a little as the warriors braced themselves. Everything in the area was smouldering as the mushroom cloud rose into the sky.
"Everyone still here?" Dionon spoke first as he surveyed the area. "We should get him back home."
Rising to their feet the three warriors picked up Chakrin and carried him home to safety.
"Good lord how much does this bastard weigh?" Minioshia struggled slightly before he got a good hand hold on Chakrin's clothes.
Looking over thier shoulders Sacooru and Dionon could only shake their heads.
"Well shit he's heavy!"
