This story is not like other stories.

Aone, the one that rules nature, sat on the royal throne of leaves, pondering what he was going to do with this little planet called mid earth. He made the floral and fauna. He even amused himself with the creatures of land and earth. But he felt something wasn't right about it. It missed something.

Thus he created the walking creatures of mid earth: the lurikeen, the humans, the elves and his favorite, the firbolgs. Each race possessed a quality of himself.

As he played with his new creatures on the tiny planet, he took to favor a particular firbolg by the name of Lunia. Lunia was a most enchanting firbolg who possessed the talent of voice commandment over the animals of mid earth.

As the planets turned, and the moon fell into alignment with mid earth and the sun, Aone took mortal form. He found her early that evening, beside a babbling brook within the glade, singing her tunes to the animals. Just as fireflies buzzed around her quietly and brownies and pixies perched in the trees above. That is when Aone approached her. Lunia fell instantly in love with Aone in this form, and that night Aone took Lunia as his own.

The night was enveloped in magical power. The moon was shadowed to only show a silver lining, and mist covered the glade around them. After a time Lunia fell into a deep sleep. When she woke, the morning rays streamed in through the wood and Aone was gone.

Aone watch Lunia from above, and noticed how his seed grew within her. She knew to what had happened. She continued to grow and carry Aone's child always remembering him.

After a time their child was born… Shadowmoon. For Lunia did not know what else to call this child born out of magic.

Shadowmoon grew up and learned the ways of song and of nature. She possessed qualities like no other firbolg. With dexterity and speed like a lynx, she had been sighted running through the glade or sitting on a rock playing her lute. She rarely went into any established village or town, and preferred the noise of nature.

Eventually her mother passed on to the next world, and Aone cried for 60 days and nights. Shadowmoon also mourned her mother's death, and went in seeking answers. She was still very young and still knew very little of the outside world. Aone seeing his child in pain and confusion, sent a wild lynx with azure eyes to guard her. And despite her distaste for people she came upon a temple. There she met a friendly group of people called the Brotherhood of Light, which took her in and taught her of people and of life and death. They also told her of the wars brewing across the land, and of how they were going to fight. Though these were no concerns to her she felt deep within herself her need to help these friendly people.

So thus she began her story…
