RPing Skill Required
This RPG is for people who are learned and willing to learn. There are no rules aside from those a decent player should already know (no powerplaying, long breeding, excessive cursing, etc). If you do not act like a player, you will be ignored by the others.

Joining
To join, you merely have to post in Adenloch's main board. Sometimes you will be greeted by an authority figure, sometimes you won't; you are welcome to post either way.

You can come and go as you please, but if you claim mares or an area of Adenloch as your own, be considerate of those you play with and be active.

Your introductary post should establish what gender, age-frame, breed or breed-type, and color you are. You can do this with a traditional "Name: Age:" type form if you like, or you can do it in complete narrative.

Adenloch Authority
Dariel-Aden is the "king". His mares and foals (they will have -Aden attached to their name) should be respected. Stallions in general should always be respected. Dariel-Aden may be challenged, but you will lose. He is not superior, but a leader.

Stallions/Claiming Land
Depending on the number of members, other areas of Adenloch may be added with their own boards. Stallions with mares can claim this area to start their own families. Inactive stallions will be replaced without fighting or asking; if you're not there, you won't mind.

Mares are pretty much subordinate to stallions, but they do not have to go by force with anyone. They may remain a mare under Dariel-Aden.

Characters
This is a somewhat realistic RPG. Horses in Adenloch can talk, have dynamic "evil" and "good" personalities, and are wild.

Wild horses do not have

  • Distinct, pure breeds (most of the time), or
  • Modern breeds like the Tenneesee Walking Horse, or American Saddle Horse
  • Names like "Angel's Fire" or "Midnight Madness". Names should be kept short and creative.
  • Knowledge of humans

    Aging
    Foals will need to be foals for a while. Wild horses breed young, however. Everyone ages at their own pace, but make it a reasonable one.

    Posting
    We don't require fancy HTML (actually, it'd be preferred if you didn't have extremly fancy tags that need to be closed) but you can use HTML. Every post needs to be OF LENGTH. Writer's block is understandable, but make it a habit to say something.

    All activity: claiming mares, breeding, foaling, etc. takes place on the main Adenloch board. More areas will be added eventually, but they are for private "sub-herds" or families.

    Any Problems/Questions
    Please post them on the OOC board. I might give out my AIM/Email later, but I'd rather take care of it on the board. Boards2Go is pretty good about keeping things running, and I promise to check it often. Don't be afraid to ask about anything.
