The year? 2010! And peace is on Earth. Life is easy and war is but a distant past. But a new threat is dawning. An asteroid, and after the disarming of weapons of mass destruction in all continents, the earth has no line of defence.
That is untill General Jarvis took command of the US defence department. He ordered the creation of a super weapon to destroy the Coming threat. This weapon was created and called the Nyrond Bomb. Its warhead containing 3 times the force of a Nucelear bomb and created to condense the blast into a single point. The plan was that this singular point would be so hot that the asteroid would be vapourised.
Tests showed this would work. Calculations done all over the world proved it possible, but the dangers where huge for should it go off on Earth, life would cease, and the planet would be reduced to space Junk. None the less it was built, and on one hot day, July 12, a secret display was on, for officials from every country, took place in a secret location. 4 of the US defence force and the General showed the bomb.
An underground resistance force, who beleived it was a bomb, not for salvation, but devistation, planned to assasinate the General. Something went wrong. The sniper did hit the General, however the bullet did not stop as readily as it should, and passed through General Jarvis and hit the bomb.
It performed just as it should have done. And the heat did something that tests cold not have shown. It opened a bridge between astral plains. and the four soldiers were pulled through.
A New World stands before them, and it is not like that of their home, Earth. There is no high rised offices, no smoke filled air, no noise of cars and planes, only the green of plants and blue of the sky.
Or is it?
