Priests and priestess's can be of any alignment. Priests and priestess's are not healers, although they may be a priest and a healer at the same time. They are actual clergy or the ones who raise the dead, remove curses, etc.. Priests and Priestesses can heal and fight and can be of any faith or title. All the duties listed below are the duties of a priest or priestess and cannot be performed upon one's self. Priests and priestesses can be killed during wartime. For services that require no roll, experience points go higher depending on how formal and how complicated you make your ceremonies. The priest or priestess may require the subject to pay a tithe to their church or god/goddess for all services rendered. Priests and healers must use two dice when performing duties such as healing, resurrections, blessings, curse removals, soul transfers, etc. All rolls must be hit in a row without missing, a miss is when a score of at least two (2) is not achieved. If a miss is made, the priest or priestess is awarded 50 experience points for failed resurrections and 20 experience points for all other ceremonies. All duties and/or services must be logged to count for experience and said log turned in to either the healer or priest coordinator for verification that healing or duty was done correctly. You must state what is being done at the beginning of the log. You must list the total of "hits" per person at the end of the log, if hits were needed. The coordinator will decide the amount of experience to be awarded for all ceremonies with no roll, with a minimum of what is listed in the below chart. If a priest, priestess or healer take a non-combantant status to devote themselves fully to the calling upon their lives, their experience for all duties doubles but they may not turn in any spars or any other type of combat match for experience. They must have listed in their profile that they are non-combantant, however they can still be assassinated (AA) or kidnapped (KA) in any war. No priest/priestess or healer is required to take such a status but the option is open to all those who wish to do so. |

Blessing(person): A blessing upon a person increases their dice sides by five levels (ex- a d60 would roll d65) and lasts for twenty-four hours. Blessings cannot be performed on anyone with dice above the level of (d70) as per they are too resistant to the magic. A blessed person cannot be cursed and a cursed person cannot be blessed without first having the blessing or curse removed. The blessed person must have a certificate of blessing drawn up by the priest administrator and carry such proof of the blessing (the blessed person must have "blessed: d5" listed in their profile) on them. Blessing(item): A blessing upon an item can only be done upon one item at a time and the preist can only bless three items in a twenty-four hour period. The blessing on an item lasts for twenty-four hours and the roll of the priest gives the strength of the enhancement. A total of ten (10) points rolled will equal a blessing of (+1) ; a total of twenty (20) points rolled will equal a blessing of (+2) ; and a total of (30) points rolled will equal a blessing of (+3) with the maximum enhancement being a (+3) enhancement. Placing Curses(person): The target of the curse does not have to be in the room for the curse to take effect, but a log must be sent to the target and priest coordinator immediately upon completion of the ceremony. Curses must have a valid reason and be pre-approved by the priest coordinator. Curses work as if a negative damage enhancer (ex- a person with a minor curse upon them rolls for 20hp of dmg is 20-2=18) on all rolls made by the cursed. Date and time of curse must be contained within the log of the curse. Placing Curses(item): Same as above except, if item is not drawn or used then the curse does not take effect. The Specific NAME of the weapon, as listed in profile, MUST be stated by the priest in the log of the cursing. Curse Removal(person&item): Removals do not have to be done by the same person who placed the curse, but the chosen priest and the cursed must be in the same room at the time of the ceremony in order for the removal to take effect. The ceremony must contain specific name of the person or item cursed (who placed it must be stated OOC) and the details of the curse itself. Date and time of removal of curse must be stated in the log as well. The clergy retain the right to refuse to remove or place a curse. Soul Transfer: Soul transfers are used to change from supernatural to natural or vice versa. Because of the very nature of a soul transfer and its drain upon the subject and priest, if failed a soul transfer can not be attempted again for a period of no less than five (5) mundane days. Soul transfers are not to be taken lightly, all soul transfers must have a reason verifiable by the priest coordinator. Ressurection: Ressurections can only be performed by priests or priestesses, more than one priest or priestess is allowed to work together to ressurect the dead if need be. |
