Registering: to perform a ( v² ) kidnapping you must be registered as a kidnapper. once you have recieved your regulation number you can perform kidnappings without a contract. that is right, without a contract. unlike so many other forums we believe it is less realistic when you are required to optain a contract to kidnapp someone, thus we do not require it.

Dangers of Kidnapping: if you are caught kidnapping the person (or if at any time during a period where the person is given your identity) you can have a contract drawn upon you for a AA by that person. (that includes after the attempt has been completed successfully even if a target does not pass perception, if you reveal your identity by removing a slaves blindfold or a action similar to that you can be contracted.

How to Register: you simply complete a mock KA and send it in along with your application and will be given a response from the KA administer within five days or less.

Havens: havens are the same as in an assassination attempt. vestige has certain rooms that are havens from anything, they are all listed.

Standard Rules: no matter what you will always roll (2d) on attempts such as these. unless the match progresses into a KA SM then you roll (2d) in all parts of this match.

Performing the KA: Warning:

  • now, once you've stated everything you need (other than dice) you tell the target to state their information ; and you state your own at the same time as the target.
  • Kidnapper: [:- Target: state name, dice, enhancers, bgs
  • Kidnapper: ( kid - 2/4d85 - +1stealth [item reg] )
Perception Attempt: targets are given a fair chance to attempt to percieve the kidnapper by rolling (2d20) to attempt to spot the target. if two HTP (hits to percieve) are met than the target has seen the kidnapper. if not, the attempt continues.
  • Passed Perception: if the target passes the perception attempt then he/she is given the choice to fight or flee. if they choose to flee they must completely exit the room and they can not return that day or the kidnapper CAN attempt to KA them again. the kid- napper who fails can not attempt a KA on that target for 72 hours (3 days) unless the target re-enters the room on that same day. if the target chooses to fight, an (KA-SM) begins and the target gets first strike.
  • Failed Perception: if the target fails perception, the kidnapper continues the attempt and will attempt to meet the HTC (hits to capture) of that specific target. please note a simple thing: you must roleplay out the binding and gagging or something of that nature for a kidnapping, something that would keep the target from seeing who has done the kidnapping.
Kidnapping - SM: this derrives from anytime the target chooses to fight instead of flee. if a target fights a KA SM then the dmg (HTC) does not carry over and target gets first strike in a battle to 125 points.

Ransoms: obviously, normally people are kidnapped for a reason and that reason is a sum of money or an item someone wants. you can hold a target for a ransom of no more than a sum equal or lesser than 7,500 gold or some sort of an enhancer or a combination of both of these. if ransom is not paid for within 72 hours the kidnapper can kill their prey (rezz is always allowed in this situation).

Bodyguards: all body guards must be in the Vestige forum, they must also be in the room before the KA warning is given. The target can have no more than one BG for this attempt. you must also state the exact name or screen name of your bodyguards in your profile or on your webpage (bg'ing by an entire clan/group is allowed if you put for example "BG by all Scar, Medri" etc..)
