Well, after a temporary lose of internet connection, I'm now back on and moving faster than ever with DSL! Whoosh! Okay, so I'm exaggerating, but whatever. I got a Perl book, so I'll start working on that sometime soon, but I wouldn't expect any immediate update. I'll be fiddling around with it for a while, so I don't think I'm going to be making any usefully new stuff anytime soon. Nonetheless, this'll probably pay off in the long run. Or so I'm hoping. Also, my hits finally picked up a little bit. If anyone cares (which you probably don't), I finally got back over 1 unique hit per day. Whoo!

Wow, I haven't updated in a while. I'm not trying to shun out this site from my life or anything, I'm just waiting 'til I get a decent Perl book before I work on anything else. Once I get properly aquainted with it, I'll work on using it to add some stuff to the site. Of course, I'll have to move to a different hosting place to do anything with it, but I've already got some space set aside at Netfirms for that. I'll probably be working on using Perl to back up Akran II and for some basic site stuff, such as a hit counter. I've been throwing around ideas, such as having a master account for all the games which will allow you to set stuff such as music preferences and the like.
Also, I've been playing Pikmin 2 quite a bit, and I must say that I'm excessively impressed with it. Playing it has got me thinking of finally making Smily Face War II. (which will be under a different name. Somethin' that doesn't have "Smily Face" in it.) THe original SF War was inspired by some screens that I had seen of Pikmin, in case your wondering. Anyhow, I'm trying to hold myself back so I don't start programming when I should be learning Perl.

Well, I'm runnin' late on this update, and I don't have anything great to make up for that. Fortunately, I do have something for once. I added some new secrets to Akran II, this being the first time Akran II's been updated since sometime during the summer. I've been working a (very) little bit on teaching myself Perl, which would lead to all kinds of cool possibilities.

...Yeah, I haven't thought of anything cool yet. But, at the very least, it would mean I no longer have to rely on cookies to save game data. In the meantime, I'll probably waste update time by adding new levels to Akran II, or something similar.

This last week was kinda busy for me, but not really busy enough to justify the lack of an actual update. I worked on the rest of Dilemnians a bit, and hopefully I'll be able to get the engine done sometime between one and two weeks. At that point, I'll only have to make the levels and begin writing the story parts to the game. I'll try to at least get an Akran II level or somethin' out for next week, so I can have some kind of update. I'm not in any rush right now to get stuff done, since I've been between .8 and 1.2 unique hits per day for a while now, and, in case you don't know, that's really horrible.

I've spent some time this last week debugging and such for Dilemnians, and changing a few things here and there. I've begun the planning and programming stage of the main game. What you see right now is merely a demo of the battle system and a few more of the features. I don't know how long it will take to get the actual thing running, but I'll need to have the first few levels for it actually made before it can be done completely. It'll take a similar state as Akran II has right now. I'll add new levels and such to it every once in a while, hopefully getting close to finishing it eventually. Speaking of Akran II, I really should start adding new levels to it, as I've gone without updating it for a while. That's a possible project for me to take this weekend. If I do enough, I may even make an update about it. Wouldn't that be glorious? No, it wouldn't.

Ready or not, Dilemnians is being release. I know of a few bugs that I have yet to work out, a few of which I know. It's also missing a few big mechanics, but it's still playable. It's a little bit odd, a little bit cool, and a little bit short as of now, but that may change. Maybe. Anyhow, if you're too lazy to get it from the sidebar, here's the link: The Link

This last week was my first week as a full-time college student. I've been fairly busy, what with getting all my books and such, so I haven't really got anything to say for an update. Of course, I could've done some work during the earlier part of this weekend, but I dedicated it to a much nobler cause: beating the original Metroid. In other words, nothin'! I might be able to pull together something for an actual update this next week, but I'm not really sure. That's okay, 'cause my hittage has been slacking quite a bit lately, so I don't really care if I get somethin' goin'. Hoorah for laziness!

I'd like to start by saying that no work on Sasan was done this week. Don't fear, however, because I have been doing work, just not on Sasan. Dilemnians II has been coming along fairly well. I've got the battle system for it pretty well done, and a simple battle arena style area. It currently has 101 different attack, 28 different creatures, and 19 different kinds of items. Of course, I haven't yet incorporated all of these things into the game. I don't know that it'll be done by next week or not, because I haven't decided yet if I want to release it before I get an "explore" mode finished for it. I also have some other stuff I have to finish up for it before it can be released. You all know what this means... crummy update! My first attempt at a sprite comic. Now I remember why I don't "attempt" things that often.

I have three new things to say for this update, and they are all equally lazy. I changed the backgrounds on all the page from black to dark blue. I finally find a color combo that I liked as much as black and blue, so I changed to it quickly to avoid looking like Reality's End as much as possible. I also put up five more MIDIs from Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid: Zero Mission, Animal Crossing, A Link to the Past, and Final Fantasy V, all of which are on the random music sidebar thing. And also, I recently started up my Deviant Art Account, and you all can see it. Now you can understand why I try not to use graphics in my games. Okay, on to stuff that really matters. (Okay, stuff that doesn't not matter as much) My two projects right now are completing Sasan's final level so that it can be completed, and the revamp for Dilemnians. Dilemnians is still quite a ways away from being done, so that probably won't be released anytime soon. Sasan is getting nearer to completion, and may be done by next week. It's unlikely, but possible. Probably sometime soon, though.

Well, it is kinda early for another update, but I didn't want to have to make another update on a Tuesday, and I don't like to go an entire week without updating... so here I am. I did some more stuff on the layout here. A mouseover image swap for the EH symbol, which is the one that takes you to the Main Page. Also, click on the Mudman EH Logo at the top of the screen, and it turns to Evil Mudman, which is actually just Mudman with some colors swapped around. This next week, I'll most likely be making another simple update to either the layout, the music, or maybe some new stuff for the RE gym, I haven't really decided yet. I hope to get Sasan completed and out by the week after next, so I'll be working on all that this next week and likely won't have much time for a real update.

Welcome to the new Endless Horizon. As you can tell, I just put up an entirely new layout. It's still new, and probably has some broken links here or there, but I'll be fixing all of that over the next week or so. As you can also see, Mudman is making his triumphiant return as an image in the top part of all pages. Sure, it's blurry and ugly, but it's... um... there, I guess. I also cleaned up the side bar a bit. There were just too many links, so I shortened it up. All old games are being moved to the Archives, and all the other junk is being moved to the "Other" section of the site, and all of the links to other sites are being moved to the "Links" section, ironically enough.

Some more work on Sasan was done this past week. I got an item trading side quest finished for it, which is an obvious tribute to the Zelda series, for anyone who doesn't immedietly recognize that. I also did some other stuff on side quests and all that. I'm hopin' that I'll be able to finish off the rest of the side quests sometime this weekend, and then I'll be able to finish designing and making the last level for Sasan. Then, the first massive game for EH will be finished... hopefully. I'll still have to go all the way through the game an extra time for debugging purposes. Once I finish Sasan, my updates will likely once again turn into new Akran II levels. I've already begun programming what I think will be the next game released here, but it's still quite a bit away, I'm thinkin'.
