Dragon World

Dragon World Dragon World is a land that is, obviously, filled with Dragons. Unlike normal D&D worlds where Dragons are rare creatures they are quite prevalent and many techniques have been designed to deal with them. Many primitive tribes capture young dragons or steal the eggs to raise as war mounts. These tribes rarely use their Dragon mounts to attack the civilized lands because they have devised ways to counter the Dragon attacks. Another unusual aspect of Dragon World is that Dragons form their own little tribes. They usually work together to protect their land and their possessions. Because of the fact that there are so many Dragons they can not reach their potential and don’t fully develop all their strength and power, but some Dragons who live on their own often grow up with full powers and abilities.

Dragon Power Changes

Dragons receive half HP.

Breath Weapon DC -2
Not all Dragons suffer these penalties, but most of them do.

Dragon Tribes

Since there are so many Dragons the Dragons have no choice but to work together in small tribes. Most of these tribes are based on type a few are created by their alignment. These tribes are fiercely defensive of their territory and attack any other Dragons that invade on it. If anything else comes into their territory they will try to eat it. The Dragons used to survive by forcing the villages to offer them food but the villages designed anti-Dragon weapons and are no longer ruled by the Dragon’s rage.

Primitive Tribes

Many primitive tribes exist in Dragon World and they train Dragons to serve as their mounts. These tribes treat the Dragons very kindly and some Dragon tribes offer their services to the tribes to receive food and care from them. Mostly the primitive tribes use the Dragons for hunting and travel but there are occasional battles between the tribes. These battles are fierce air fights for superiority. Once a tribe eliminates a villages defenses they swoop over the village attacking it with their Dragon’s breath weapon.

Dragon Combat

Dragon Combat is very much a part of Dragon World. Whether it is between two dragons, two dragon lancers, or a dragon and a fighter it doesn’t matter. Dragons are fierce combatants in battles and are very capable spell casters. Dragon Lancers are very attuned to fighting on their Dragon. While Dragon Hunters are well trained in ways to fight Dragons.

Dragon Lancer Combat

Dragon Lancer combat is extremely fast paced and extremely dangerous. Just riding a Dragon is tough and fighting on the Dragon’s back makes it even more dangerous. Every turn anybody on a Dragon must make a Balance check DC 20 to stay on the Dragon. When in combat a person on the Dragon must make a Balance check DC 30 to stay on the Dragon and they must make a Ride check DC 30 to be able to attack during that round. All people except Dragon Lancers, Dragon Casters, and Dragon Leaders suffer a -4 penalty to attacks when riding a Dragon. Dragon Hunting Wagon
The Dragon Hunting Wagon was designed first by cities that were very close to Dragon tribes. They used multiple weapons on their wagons to stop Dragons. After centuries of innovation and research the wagons have been turned into perfect weapons but they require a very skilled operator to use. The wagon is powered by two people in the back who turn a gear which turns the wheels moving the wagon forward. The wagon is shaped like a normal wagon but has six foot high wall and then a flat roof. On top of the roof there are two huge crossbows designed to take out Dragons. the front of the Wagon has two holes for archers if the Dragon lands. Some wagons have wood that has been given a resistance to fire.
