Master Summoner

Master Summoner The Master Summoner has perfected the art of summoning creatures. The Master Summoner uses his powers to augment his other spell casting abilities and allows him to rest and recharge behind a shield of monsters. Master Summoners are rare but they are very powerful and often ostracized because of the powers they wield.

Feats: Spell Focus (Conjuration)
Spells: The Master Summoner must be able to cast either Summon Monster I, or Summon Natures Ally I

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Master Summoners are proficient with all simple weapons, light armor and all shields.

Spells Per Day: A Master Summoner continues to advance in spell casting ability as well as gaining the abilities of the new class.

Summoning Domain: At first level the Master Summoner gains the Summoning Domain as his third domain. The character gains all abilities associated with that domain.

Summoning: At second level once per week the Master Summoner may replace a Summon Monster with the equivalent Summon Nature’s ally or vice versa.

Animal Control: Starting at third level the Master Summoner gains a bonus to all Animal Empathy, and Handle Animal checks equal to his number of Master Summoner levels.

Advanced Summon IX: At fifth level once per week the Master Summoner may replace Summon Monster IX, or Summon Nature’s Ally IX with Advanced Summon IX. The Master Summoner may summon 1D3 creatures of the same type from the ninth level list.

Power Summon: At tenth level the Master Summoner may cast Power Summon once a week in place of Summon Monster IX, or Summon Nature’s Ally IX. Power Summon casts both Summon Monster IX and Summon Nature’s Ally IX with the Advanced Summon rules applying to both.
