In FF6/3, there comes a time when you learn about the three Statues of the Goddesses. These statues hold great magical power, which naturally means that Kefka and Gatahl want them. And they get them. But when Kefka kills Gastahl, and then moves the statues to disrupt their balance, the face of the world becomes a nightmare.
