Background:
Solitary and relatively friendless, with a high-risk occupation, ex-British officer Harold Wilson was an ideal test subject for Project Chronos.
The son of a wealthy arms maganate in Britan, Wilson served as an SAS sniper during World War Two, assembling a high body-count of German officers and Nazi officials with his trusty Lee-Enfield. Like many in his position, Wilson found himself bored and jobless after the war, the Army didn't need men of his skills anymore.
The rest of the world did, though, and Wilson became a mercenary, fighting on behalf of rebellious colonists in Africa, often fighting against his own army. On August 7, 1948, during an artillery bombardment outside Nairobi (his body never being found would be explained by that), Wilson was trawled up into the somewhat distant future of 2002.
Much of his mind was damaged by the trawling process, though: damage made worse after being blasted violently into the "future" of Scorched Earth in front of the other prisoners, on January 18, 2002. (He had led an escape attempt that had killed two guards and several prisoners; his "disapperance" was a warning to the others.)
Of course, two days later, the world ended, so the whole lesson idea was pretty much a mute point.
