You land upon the seashore. You open your eyes with a start and look around. Kind faces surround you and comfort you. A woman dressed in harper green gives you a bit of klah to warm you up. Another young woman, with a large golden dragon looking over her shoulder, offers you a ride back to the Holds and Halls where you MUST go first. Perhaps you may join her someday with the other Dragonriders of Pern... Or perhaps your destiny is to become a Holder, or a Master of a Craft in a Hall? Or even a Dolphineer...
