This is a very special page, it discusses everything I know about the wonderful creatures called dragons, so read up, and read well for you and your dragon will profit greatly from this as I have included basic care in here....
Here is a REALLY bad chart of the colors of dragons..I added eyes (red dots) to what is suppossed to be there heads, even if you cant see the dragons, just use the colors to figure out size comparison, that, at least, is correct....
Yes well there is
is in all of it's uglyness...
Anyway,
dragons have protected the planet Pern for years, and are continuing to do
so... even today when Only a few dragons are alive.
Here are the basics of dragon
keeping, lol, not really keeping but dragon care, as you are not the dragon's
owner, you are it's partner. Also dragons do not need training, they are
quite civilized when they are
born.
Feeding: Wherry is probably a dragon's favorite but all dragons have different tastes according to it's personality.
Oiling:Oiling is a must, Dragons hide can become dry and flake off, leaving an unhealthy hide and a sick dragon. So make sure you do this. It can be enjoyable for both you and your dragon... almost a type of stress reliever. But put it everywhere, about three times a week at the least...
Loving:This is not too hard to do, just treat your dragon with respect, love is not an option, you will love each other no matter what... And if you wanted another color you will not longer care after Impression.
Exercise & Sleep: Sleep is unaviodable, we all need it... so of course, so will your dragon. Most dragons sleep after eating and will sleep for a day or two... do not worry if longer, it simply means your dragon was tired from the days excertions. Exercise is a must, Once your dragon is old enough to fly (not breed just fly) You should make sure it does this daily in order to keep strong and healthy.
Thats all for Basic Dragon Care...
Flight
Where do dragons come from? Hmmm , I don't think you'll need to go out and into the birds and the bees but you should know how they work here.
Dragon flights are the mating of dragons, Bronzes will mate with Queens and Blues and Browns will mate with Greens. Queens lay eggs, Greens don't, but Greens still do fly and can love another dragon.
Normally
a flight goes like this, I will put it into two columns, one for the books,
and one for RPG.
Book |
RPG |
| Queen/Green bleeds a few kills | The queen/green will bleed a few kills, talk about resistance and you forcing her to obey you, to not gorge. |
| Queen/Green takes off, Male Dragons, persue. | The Queen will take off, wait until Quereth bugles before taking off and trying to catch her. |
| Flight continues, riders become tired... | Riders will become weary as chase ensues. |
| Mating | Whoever plays the female will choose the male dragon she believes has RP'd the best and their dragons will mate. |
| Normal life | You continue on with normal life....after all this of course and a bit of recooperation. (greens, stop reading now) |
| Egg heavy | Queen becaome egg heavy and can no longer fly. |
| Clutch | Queen will lay eggs on sands, anywhere between 12-40 depending on length of flight, the longer the flight, the more eggs. |
| Impression | Impression! |
So there you have it! A mating flight! Oh yes, and in the books....well...the humans do this as well...here...Just hug and maybe lightly kiss, I have no idea how old some of you are and I don't want any of your parents complaining that I'm teaching you sick stuff.
Please e-mail me at WolvenChess@aol.com if you have anymore questions on dragons and I will reply as quick as I can.. And also, If I correct you on a board due to just a simple mistake, don't get angry but just remember it for the future so that no one complains...Fare thee well!
