The Merchant's that you have been traveling with for several weeks finally breathed a sigh of releif, as you exit the ancient forest. You have to squint for a moment as your eyes get used to the bright light of the Land of the Rising Sun.The Bushi that your caravan paid to guard them through the dangerous forest, protecting you and your party from bandits, rogue thieves and ninja, nod to the Merchant leader befor turning thier horses and heading back into the forest, wence they came.

The Caravan, breathing a collective sigh of relief begins thier trek across the plains to what lies ahead. You see the lush plain befor you, and nestled between two mountains reside Heian-kyo, Captial of Peace and Tranquility. Here on a plain sheltered on the west, north, and east by mountains and intersected by ample north-south rivers Lies a rectangler Walled City. Large Pagoda Palaces and Homes decorate the Cityscape, giving you a sense of majestic awe, as the sun begins to set behind the mountains. As you get closer you see the walls of the City, made of hard red brick stone and morter..standing as high as thirty feet, the top of which leans leans out ten feet, to discourage any from scaling the walls. Giant thirty foot red oak doors, six feet thick set as Gates to the City. A troop Samurai stand at the Gates inspecting everything and everyone coming and going from the Hein-kyo.

Once the Guards let you in..eyeing you suspiciously, you begin to note that the streets and buildings were made uncommonly uniform, each road is straight , and at every cornor is a column with the street number and name. The roads made of stone, leaving little dust to rise up.

Your caravan stops in front of the Palace of Hein-kyo, a Pagoda style palace of enormous dimensions, standing all about the front of the palace are the Noble Samurai, replentent in thier Okashi do armor and weapons, each one looking sternly at everything going on in front of the Palace. Inside is the Emperor Go-Shirakawa, The Son of Morning, the direct decendent of the Sun Goddess Ameratsu, He who rules by divine right. It is said Go-Shirakawa ruthlessly put down most of the Clan wars, and defeated the simpleton who ruled befor him. He led the Warrior Clans of Fujikawa, Taira, and Minamoto to secure his place. Here you are led inside of the Palace, though the wooden halls, walled by white rice paper and framed in red oak. into the Audience chamber of the Emperor, there you see the splender of the Geisha, whom you came to sell your wears to.
