Well, as is the case for many others, Vampire Hunter D was the first anime I ever saw, and it has left me with a love for anime ever since. It has a great story, a cool main character, kicking fight scenes, blood, and everything else that a young adolescent boy could want. But parents be cautioned. If you are watching the uncensored version, be ready for some scenes of animated nudity and plenty of blood and gore. On a brighter note, though, I don't recall any profanity in the movie. The animation in the movie is great, especially for 1985 and the voice acting is good. Years later, I still feel that this is the best anime I have seen. It is great movie and I strongly suggest it to anyone who enjoys these kinds of movies or like anime. If you plan to watch it with little children though, go for the censored version (sometimes this comes on sci-fi, so watch your tv guide for it and record it). Other Reviews: |
