"The girl has such a beautiful face; that's rare among these natives. And her blood melts in the mouth, or so my father told me. So, I came to see for myself, but, after all, she's still a stupid worthless human. She must pay for resisting her master."

     Doris is the villager that Count Lee chooses to be his wife. Doris isn't fond of this idea and hires D to to help her out of this problem. Living alone, she has to support herself and her younger brother Dan. Their father was a werewolf hunter who was killed by Count Magnus when the town ordered him to attack the vampire lord. She also has to deal with the advances of Greco, the mayor's son. When she hires D,  she sees something in D that maybe not even D has ever seen before and falls in love with him. Doris is the "damsel in distress" in this movie although she is one of the most capable characters in this movie. Doris is a reluctant loner in her own rights, though she finds love for D. In essence she doesn't need a man to take care of her, and to a point likes it that way.
