Draft for Clan Rules



Tis the day of reckoning, we, of the Clans, have cometh together for the will of our own, the will of Kerensky. It shall be this day where the surviving Clans has cometh together to form our documents to preserve the Clans. These are laws and rules that have been set forth to ensure the survival of the Clans. These documents shall be enforced to all those that have come to join.


Upon the creation of the council, one shall be elected as an ilKhan for the Clans. This person is seated by a vote from all members of the council. No matter what issues arouse in the councils, all Clans have a vote when it comes to the seating and dismissing of the ilKhan. The ilKhan is the representative for the Council and speaks to all on the behalf of the council. The rules set for the ilKhan are as followed:


1) Has the right to make last minute decisions for the council so long as the decision does not directly change or alter the will of the Clans as individuals.

2) Cannot tell Khans how to run their own Clan. ilKhan can give suggestions and can set up votes if he/she feels that the Clan in mind is not in their right mind for the tasks, which they are attempting.

3) Cannot declare war on any unit, planet, or beings unless the decision is ran by the Council and a vote is cast. The ilKhan has the right to explain to the Council why he/she feels that the target needs to be declared war upon.

4) Understand that Khans have the final word for their Clan and all matters attaining to the Clan.

5) Sets up Council meetings and notifies the Loremaster of the Clans to host them.


Khans are selected when the Clan is formed. After that, it is decided who is saKhan and Khan by the residing Khan and saKhan, no one else. If the Clans Khan and saKhan both leave at same time, the next highest can take the Khan seat and he/she can appoint the new saKhan. The Clan Khan may ask the Council for assistance for leadership if problems are arousing. The tasks of the Khan is as followed:

1) Have absolute control over the Clan. Decides if Clan goes to war or waits, which Clans they ally with or who remains an enemy of the Clan.

2) If the Khan wishes to deal with Inner Sphere units, it is the Khans will. The Council may call for a vote on this or ask the Khan the reason for this. Information must be given to the Council upon this, but the Khan has the right to hold certain issues back if he/she so wishes.

3) Khans cannot officially declare war against another unit, planet, or target without passing it by the Council, but has the right to retaliate an attack against a hostile target that has attacked first.

4) Khans and saKhans are allowed to vote in the council. The topic of discussion does not matter; they will always get to vote on the matters. Khans and saKhans may exempt themselves from the votes. By doing so, you clearly say you are exempt. They can do this if they feel they cannot fairly vote, feel weary about the subject, or other such matters. No one has the right to ask why they are exempt, but the Khans and saKhans can give reasons if they wish.

5) Khans make final decisions for the Clan, and if problems arouse where the Khan is brought up on charges, no punishment should be passed to the members of the Clan.

6) Has the authority to challenge the ilKhan on matters, and may call for a vote on matters of the ilKhan.

7) Any Khan has the right to call for a vote, on any matter during any Grand Council meeting.


The ilKhan, Khans, and saKhans will create the Council. They shall be the members and they shall be the ones to pass new laws into the Council. The Council purposes are as followed:


1) Votes to declare wars on enemy targets. But it is the Clans’ decision if they will send their Clan into that war.

2) Votes to end wars on enemy targets. It is up to Clans if they wish to stop hostilities against the target. The Clan is given a grace period to finalize any attacks and then must agree to pull out of the fight.

3) Votes on whether to allow Clans into the Council or not. But all should remember that each Clan is that of Kerensky and his will is in part with them.

4) Votes on decisions to change or alter anything that revolves around the Council as a whole.

5) Votes on all matters that pertain to Clan crimes or Breaking the Constitutions will.

6) At any time, Council can vote to add new matters into the Council Constitution.



The Grand Council shall be ran as follows:


1) The top four ranking members of any, and all Clans are welcome at Grand Council meetings.

2) Any Clansman who is present has the right to be heard on all matters once they have been duly recognized by the Loremaster.

3) Voting members of the Council are limited to Khans, saKhans, and the ilKhan, with the Tiebreaking Vote going to the Loremaster of the Clans. (Please note, this is the only time the Loremaster of the Clans will ever get a vote.)

4) The Loremasterof the Clans is the Host of all Grand Council meetings, as such, to speak, you must be recognized and called upon by the Loremaster of the Clans. To do so, just type an Exclamation mark (!). When you are finished please signify by typing an Astrix (*).

5) Once you enter the Council, you are under the control, and sufferance of the Loremaster of the Clans. Be reverent, and never speak out of turn, or you will be removed for the remainder of that Grand Council session.

6) The Grand Council may never vote on matters that are internal to any singular Clan.
