| Result | Opponent | Race | Score | Cas | Gate | Winnings | Notes & Highlights |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Started on the first day of a season, Apr. 6, 2003. Tuatha De Danann reside and play in the west. |
| Tie (99-110) | Funeral March | Undead | 0-0 | 2-5 | 61,000 | 70,000 | The undead were feeling sick in the blizzard, evening it up to starting fields of ten each. Unfortunately, shortly after that we suffered our first death, a rookie bard (and the MVP). This was a hard game - he got a lot of clean cas, and we didn't have any backup. Fortunately, we managed to hold them. |
| Win (102-143) | Star Trek Voyager | Dark Elf | 1-0 | 5-2 | 55,000 | 100,000 | The crowd interfered at the start, taking Cairbre out of the game. However, we played an excellent second half, giving no quarter, causing several injuries. The Dagda ran it in on the last turn for the win, got an mvp, and stronger :) The other mvp went to a Fomorian, and we purchased ourselves a Druid. |
| Win (116-121) | ETSEIT Eagles | High Elf | 2-0 | 2-3 | 39,000 | 40,000 | With excellent patience, we kicked to them in the first, turned it around, stole the ball, and Manannan scored. In the second, we lined up seven to his 6, and received. Without really losing control, we slowly marched the ball through them, and Dian Cecht ran it in. Following this, his angry fans stormed the pitch, and flattened the remainings six Tuatha. Fortunately, our healer prevented permanent damage to Dian Cecht. Dagda was again the mvp, and became more agile! |
| Win (120-99) | Pumpkin Heads | Undead | 2-0 | 2-2 | 46,000 | 100,000 | Both trees showed, for a first time event, but our first mng kept us from fielding 11 still. As well we kicked for the fourth time in a row. Despite the ref paying special attention to us, we managed to keep em down, and scored in only four turns. In the second, Lug was grievously injured, but the druid saved him. At the end we fought them down, and scored again. |
| Win (134-102) | Da Runny Snots | Orc | 2-0 | 4-1 | 49,000 | 50,000 | This game marked the first time the team won the coin toss, and the first time we lined up a full eleven players for any kickoff. To rain on our parade, the orcs blitzed us. Still, we pressed up and scored, despite the ref throwing out three Tuatha for, ahem, cruel acts in three successive turns. At the start of the second, our fans rioted in rage when the ref didn't notice a crippling foul on Dagda, and the druid had to save him. Cairbre scored both of our TD's, and graciously gave 40k to our opponents. |
| Tie (139-131) | Stone Maidens | Dwarf | 1-1 | 1-3 | 45,000 | 70,000 | We received again, and purchased a third reroll prior to the match, although it was unused as a bribe, and we paid the loan shark. Sadly, again we were under scrutiny. As well, his ogre mutilated Lug, and only the very quick action of our druid saved him. He had a full roster at the half, and our seven valiant players couldn't quite stop him from tying it up. It was very close though, with him having to gfi on his last turn with no rr. Sadly, some of our loyal fans deserted, after seeing us scored against. |
| Win (146-138) | Ska'Vengers | Skaven | 2-1 | 4-1 | 64,000 | 70,000 | Both Fomorians were in our world at the start, and we had 12 players to line up! With a rerolled block, and a failed gfi, he handily scored in two turns. Then a six turn riot ended the half :( We scored in five in the second, and our mission was to steal the ball and get a winner in three turns. Shortened to two turns by a second riot! He could've fizzled Gobniu's second TD for a skill, but I rr'd a death just prior in exchange for him letting Gobniu in. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | A craftsman has decided to stop playing the game. He had two touchdowns, and and one mvp. His chosen skills were block, and diving tackle. |
| Tie (142-112) | Khemri Crusaders | Undead | 1-1 | 5-0 | 56,000 | 50,000 | We all started drunk. On turn two, Cairbre got tossed on a crucial foul with a rr. He pushed us around, and scored on turn four. As we wre driving up the field in return, Amairgen fouled a mummy, and was tossed on a second pair of doubles with rr! On the last turn, Scutt's prevented us from scoring, and we fouled with a tree. Double doubles again, for a 3rd player tossed! With a max of seven players for us, and his ko box full, we elected to play for the tie. After some embarrasing ball handling in the rain, Dagda took pity and picked it up and ran it in. |
| Tie (152-183) | Star Trek Voyager | Dark Elf | 1-1 | 5-0 | 53,000 | 40,000 | Due to some bungling on the part of our passers, they managed to hold us in the first half after we received. We did take out a few key players though. In the second, they received and scored handily, then a mysterious shield intercepted a pass, and a disasterous failed blitz almost let them score again, and our recovery was so poor, we almost didn't tie it up. Gobniu scraped it in, after moving the ball twenty-one squares on the last turn. |
| Win (160-125) | Arwen's Song | Wood Elf | 5-1 | 7-2 | 57,000 | 60,000 | The Tuatha drew three good cards, and the eleven player elf line was in trouble from the start. A timely sponge rescued many of them, but most just went right back in. The game was a little lopsided, but we had fun trying to stop the dancers. As well, the team received an amazing six skills, including two on Ossian! |
| Loss (172-169) | Archangels | Human | 1-3 | 3-6 | 54,000 | Coach Kidnapped | For the first time ever, both Fomorians failed to show, and for a hitting game :( We stole it from them in the first and scored, but they returned the td, and hurt us down to five players for the second half. We were quickly four, and we didn't have the presence to hold off eleven players. Dagda, Bodb, and Cairbre will all miss the next match, and the team suffers its first loss. He graciously returned 70k of my winnings. |
| Win (184-148) | Warp Stoners | Skaven | 4-1 | 8-1 | 58,000 | 40,000 | We played a fresher skaven teambecause we had three players missing. Unfortunately, nuffle had it in for the little guys, and the game was not balanced at all. Both Fomorians showed up for the whole game, and earned eleven spp's between them. The lads are good to go for next time, and we gave the ratmen most of our winnings. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | A craftsman is moving to another tribe. He has a completion, three touchdowns, three casualties inflicted, and earned the mvp twice. His chosen skills are block, diving tackle and pro. |
| Loss (177-198) | Gobz | Goblin | 2-3 | 9-2 | 67,000 | 30,000 | We made a charitable donation of 10k to the MVP support fund before the match. Our passers had a horrible game, failing passes to score at the end of the first and second halves. He had a TO card, adn a wiz, and we gleefully fouled with grudge many times, but it wasn't enough to win. A second loss, also to Vacnez. |
| Tie (187-166) | Saturn's Rings | Human | 2-2 | 7-0 | 58,000 | 50,000 | Both Fomors were notoriously absent. We played a tight game, getting luckily scored one once, and skillfully scored on. It was tricky with no big players, but we managed. He rolled two skills, both doubles, and we got four regular, and +ma for Finn. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | A bard has married into another tribe. He has eight casualties, and was the mvp three times. His chosen skills are block, dirty player and pro. As well, an elderly chieftan retired, with nine completions and one casualty. His chosen skills were block and accurate. |
| Win (178-169) | Khemri Crusaders | Undead | 4-1 | 9-1 | 91,000 | 70,000 | A rematch against the undead we tied earlier in the season. We kindly didn't double cross his helmet, in return for 40k (half of which we returned), and his helmeted mummy sitting out. Then the game was a blowout, with nuffle mutilating the undead team. They were left with two dead, and two missing the next game, after regen rolls!. Dagda got faster, Ossian more agile, and the fast Fomor found a portal to this realm! |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Another craftsman has left the game to work full time at his trade. We wish him all the best, and know he will be a loyal fan. He had scored four touchdowns, and chosen the skills block and diving tackle. |
| Loss (182-208) | Shadow Over Light | Dark Elf | 3-5 | 2-1 | 74,000 | 120,000 | I foolishly agreed to play a non-fouling game against Dark|ight and it was a disaster. We couldn't keep the elves down even to a stun, and they simply stood up and ran the ball in. Our chieftans couldn't find their own hands. The Tuatha De Danaan do not play non-foul. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | A chieftan and craftsmen have retired with their wives and families to start a new tribe. The craftsman had one pass, six touchdowns, a casualty, and one mvp, choosing block, diving tackle, and pro as his skills. His new chieftan had succesfully passed the ball sixteen times, had a casualty, and was the mvp twice, choosing block, accurate and strong arm as his skills. |
| Win (176-155) | Bald-N-Short | Chaos Dwarf | 3-1 | 3-1 | 49,000 | 60,000 | The sneaky dwarves drew three random events, and luckily pulled under scrutiny. Two games without fouling in a row! However, when forced to demonstrate our skill against the chaos dwarves, as opposed to super elves, the Tuatha dominated. All three td's were on rookies. Amairgin got eleven spp, and stronger! McCloud gave us 10k so we could attract another chieftan. |
| Tie (187-153) | Wrecking Crew | Human | 2-2 | 3-4 | 74,000 | 30,000 | The game started grandly, with the people easily removing much of the opposition and scoring. However, after this, lax play and horrible luck caused us to watch an eight man team slowly pick us apart. In the end, two successive sets of double skulls let them tie it up, and come back from zero cas to more than we had! |
| Win (195-145) | The Reanimated | Undead | 3-1 | 10-0 | 71,000 | 80,000 | This game, The Tuatha could do no wrong, and the undead had horrible rolls. Both ghouls removed themselves from the game on failed dodges or gfi's. As well, the regeneration capability of the team was sadly lacking. As a glorious bonus, Bodb found out after the game that sprinting downfield to score had stretched him out, and he bacame more limber! |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | After seeing Bodb's new abilities, the other chieftan decided to give someone younger a chance to try his skill. He had completed eight passes, and scored once, choosing accurate and strong arm as his skills. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Both of the two players who left to play with another tribe have been accepted. In return, the rival tribe gifted us with a young, promising hero, and an eager but untried mage. |
| Win (225-179) | N.N. | Orc | 2-1 | 3-3 | 80,000 | 60,000 | Sadly the game opened with a six turn riot. He ended our first turn with a card, and we had no chance to score. In the second, we scored twice, fairly quickly. He returned one, and we would've scored again, except our new hero failed to catch it. Playing against Zeraph was great fun - We'll do it again. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Another craftsman has retired. Apparently, they'd rather work than play. He had four touchdowns, taking block and catch as his skills. |
| Win (225-184) | Smack My Kitch Up | Wood Elf | 3-1 | 7-1 | 46,000 | 160,000 | We were happily up two to nothing towards the end of the first half, and when we kicked it to them, he used some elf magic, and snuck through a secret portal to score! In the second, both teams lost their momentum, unable to compete effectively. Eventually, Cu Chulainn managed to catch a bouncing ball and run it in, to end the game. A merchandising program earned us considerable wealth. We gave half of our wins to Kitch, so he could buy a wizard. |
| Win (235-239) | The Blighters | Skaven | 5-2 | 9-1 | 82,000 | 60,000 | The rats had armour like butter all game, dropping like flies. As well, the frequency of failed dodges by gutter runners and berserk rat ogres totally removed any chance the poor rats had. He scored with his one-turner (whom we failed to kill, despite several attempts), and then injury time at the end of the game. Three rookies gots skills, which is pleasing, and the big, dumb Fomor took the MVP, getting him closer to that precious skill! |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | A craftsman was caught stealing a sheep, and as punsihemnt, has been banished! He will no longer play the game, anywhere! He had three touchdowns and a casualty, choosing block and diving tackle as his trained abilities. |
| Win (240-210) | Bald-N-Short | Chaos Dwarf | 3-1 | 3-0 | 65,000 | 30,000 | The evil dwarves just couldn't hold their own against us, all game. Despite our not causing a single injury on the few fouls we threw, and his having grudge match, we always managed to outfield and outplay the dwarves. This is probably in part to them missing thier giant star minotaur. Oh well - it was a nice quiet game, and both heroes showed well, with all spps except going to allies and Bodb. |
| Win (248-243) | Two Step Death | Chaos Dwarf | 2-1 | 4-6 | 120,000 | 50,000 | Two Step had won the Itza shaman, but fortunately he wasn't on the ball this game. We had a rough game, where both fomors showed, and both got BH in the first half! Fortunately, the skill of the people outmatched the skills of the hobgoblin slaves. Dian Cecht ran a beautiful play in at the end for the win |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | The young chieftan who replaced the departing older chieftan has also found he cannot keep up with Bodb. Fortunately, he has replaced himself, with his cousin. He had only eight completions, and was given the departing mvp. His abilities were block, and accurate. |
| Win (247-188) | Heavenly Creatures | Minotaur | 1-0 | 3-5 | 99,000 | 110,000 | In order to get the nervous bull men to play, we had to promise not to defame them with our bards! Then, he got incredibly lucky, and had five players out of the game by turn two! Remember Minos are sneaky deceiptful beasts. We scored in the first, but he removed every player in the second, and almost managed to score in the rain. |
| Loss (261-282) | Gummi Glen Juicers | Wood Elf | 1-2 | 7-0 | 116,000 | 70,000 | The Tuatha limped into this game, with only eleven possible players to start the match. The fomor didn't show, and our best fielding was ten players. It turned out to be a good game. We scored first, but couldn't prevent the two turn return at the end of the half. In the second, they got a lucky one with the aid of a fireball, and then the rookie knight fumbled his 6th catch of the game and failed to bring us the tie. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | The Fomor who just couldn't find the game some nights was finally fired from the team, and another took his place. The leaving Fomor had thirteen cas, and had hogged four mvp's. He had learned to block and tackle, and was a pro. |
| Loss (248-242) | Gargoyles | Lizardman | 1-2 | 0-4 | 116,000 | 50,000 | The people were fired up, and excited for their first game in over a month. Sadly, they came out of the blocks in a fairly mediocre manner, and only got rustier. Several double skulls, many single skulls, no successful passes, not a single cas, and the game was a shambles. The lizards were quite lucky in the end to get away with the win, but the way the Tuatha played, we deserved nothing. We received a 10k gift. |
| Win (257-285) | An Exercise In Vowels | High Elf | 3-1 | 7-1 | 94,000 | 70,000 | The Tuatha, frustrated with two losses in a row, crushed the high elves visciously. He only ever had two desperate attempts to score, and neither worked. For most of the second half, they had only four players active. At the end of the game, we received a 40k gift, and Midir had to make a tough choice, rolling doubles has his first skill. He chose to take Diving Tackle - we'll see how it pans out. |
| Win (273-256) | Gargoyles | Lizardman | 5-2 | 8-2 | 102,000 | 60,000 | A rematch against the lucky Gargoyles had the people determined to prove themselves. And prove ourselves we did, crushing the opposition. By the second turn of the second half, we were up three to nothing, with six cas. We began to trade TD's, but the fans objected, rushing the field, flattening six of the Tuatha and giving them their only two casualties of the game. The fans forgave us though, and bought up 150k worth of merchandise. |
| Tie (303-300) | Ulfheonar | Norse | 0-0 | 4-2 | 92,000 | 20,000 | A very mighty norse team. Our slightly inflated TR (230k cash) and the dismal failure of the new fomorian to show gave us an uphill fight from the start. A snake-eyes pick up gave away possession in the first half, and we had to use our assassain to get it back. Just as we were to run it in, Dian Cecht saw the love of his life, and dove into the crowd. In the second, they received, and the Tuatha went to work. We had a good chance to score on the last turn, but Gobniu fumbled the catch for the TD. |
| Loss (298-347) | Dark Hearts | Dark Elf | 2-4 | 7-3 | 114,000 | 90,000 | The big match against a much bigger, and more dodgey dark elf team. Things turned very ugly when our bolt, and flying fist missed his lonely ball carrier in quick succession. This left him with a custard pie, and his wiz, both of which did work. As well, we caused three perms in the first half, the rr of one of which cost us a td. Amusingly, we rerolled a failed block into triple skulls! In the end, we came away with a skill, and a mng on a rookie. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Blood Bowl Tournament! |
| Win (304-301) | The Bonechewers | Skaven | 3-1 | 13-2 | 134,000 | 60,000 | We went into our first ever tournament game missing a player, and with a rookie Fomorian. In the first half, we mutilated their team, with the help of nuffle, and scored on the last turn. In the second, they didn't have the players or chances, and we quickly scored again. Then they managed an amazing drive, to bring it back to within one. Then he blitzed us, and we had to fight to keep him from the endzone. We did, and managed to score, drawing a last turn pitch invasion. |
| Win (319-391) | Iron Fist | Human | 2-0 | 13-4 | 180,000 | 80,000 | A game against Cujo's big tough human team. We drew a grudge match, but sadly, Amairgen fouled out on our first turn. Following that, the People proceeded to tear the humans apart. After his PO ogre died a second time (my scroll saved him), he called it quits. So in only 11 turns, we garnered 13 cas, and a second tournament win. Cu Chulainn was niggled, but also gained an MVP and tackle. |
| Loss (332-366) | Black Chasm Chargers | Skaven | 2-4 | 1-3 | 157,000 | 80,000 | After a ridiculous amount of time, and planning between JThan and I, we managed to play the West Division final game. Unfortunately, our less experienced team got schooled, but not by the ratmen. Nuffle took us to the bank, with a 1 for cards, 1 for take root tree, and quad 1's to end two turns in a row earned by our wizard. In the first five turns, all of my blocks knocked down exacly zero players. He killed one, mng'd two, and we resigned on our turn 7. Sad. JThan gave us 20k he didn't need. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | The Tuatha lost the West Division final to the Black Chasm Chargers, and ashamedly entered our second season. |
| Loss (343-348) | Next Life | Undead | 1-2 | 4-6 | 120,000 | 60,000 | Our recovery game after the pounding the Chargers gave us. Sadly in the first, ff, rr perm and his Doom and Gloom kept us from fouling. We would've stopped a score except for Rakarth's Bounding Leap. Then he proceeded to bltiz preventing our return with Speed of Light, and opened the second with a Pitch Invasion. We were short all second, and couldn't knock em down. We managed to sneak a TD past the slow zombies, but we had nothing left for their return drive, with the mighty Fomor turning traitor. We gave away 250k. |
| Win (328-302) | Minor Jihad | Orc | 4-1 | 8-4 | 108,000 | 20,000 | We kicked to them, and they managed to score first with a long drive where an ogre had to dodge three times, catch, and not get pushed out. Everything worked for that bone-headed ogre! However, the People are a tough team, and after that we gave no quarter, scoring four times, and snuffing the orc resistance. We ended with an unused Hawkfing's Curse and Mage. |
| Tie (336-320) | Cheating Death | Undead | 2-2 | 8-5 | 149,000 | 30,000 | The Sincerely Dead B Team had a lot of rookies, and a few fantastic players. We used up both healers very early, and stopped fouling. The People had an awful time ball handling this game, and we were always chasing him, never in the lead. Fortunately, we managed to keep a lot of them knocked out, making it hard for him all game. At the last instant, a beam of sunlight blasted his vamp, letting us keep the tie. As well, the second Fomor finally found a stable entry point to our world! |
| Win (341-317) | Tin | Orc | 3-1 | 6-2 | 128,000 | 30,000 | A dominating win for the People. We kicked to them in the first, and managed to score two defensive touchdowns, and remove the bigger orc players. In the second, we had a little more trouble, with an ejection, and his wizard taking a turn from us. However, we still scored, letting the poor orcs have a consolation touchdown at the end. Congrats on the helmet KZ :) |
| Win (350-321) | Minor Jihad | Orc | 2-0 | 2-2 | 110,000 | 20,000 | After a pummelling earlier in the season, the Jihad came back to us strong and ready. We received, but in the first half, a riot and a wiz managed to stop our touchdown attempts, until a time warped fomorian cleared the way. In the second, we defended beautifully. Unfortunately, we almost didn't get the elusive second touchdown, after snake-eyes two turns in a row by Midir. Bodb pulled it out of the fire. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | After about a six month break due to a summer spent exploring new lands, the People returned home to continue playing for a third season. |
| Win (354-330) | Ragnarok! | Norse | 2-1 | 5-1 | 117,000 | 30,000 | I got to play a game against TC, which is always a fun time. This was a game of low level luck, and not very many neat plays. In the end, I successfully fouled once, and him no times, but no tosses. Nothing went really wrong for the People, but lots didn't go 'well'. All in all, always a pleasure to play TC - thanks again :) |
| Win (362-295) | Spirit Horse | Dark Elf | 3-1 | 10-4 | 161,000 | 50,000 | The game started in the pouring rain, but our seers predicted that it would clear up, and it did, midway through the first half. They managed to score first quarter, but it cost them heavily in players. We scored once in each following quarter, because the darkies didn't have much resistance left. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | With only two games last season due to lack of time, the People didn't have enough recognition to enter the tournaments, and headed into a more hopeful season. |
| Win (374-300) | Tin (Steeler B-Team) | Orc | 3-0 | 3-6 | 161,000 | 220,000 | Despite a good record, the People have noticed that they do not have the following they would like. The game went fairly well, with the lads showing off for the crowd. The orcs lack of tackle really hurt them. As well, the ref was incredible, calling almost every foul. After two ejections and a successful argue, the orcish fans managed to get him for the second half. |
| Win (372-324) | Back in Black (MIB-B) | Human | 2-1 | 4-1 | 143,000 | 60,000 | This was a good game. The humies were clever, but not good enough to keep us from beating them. It was a fun game, and my first against The Absurd. |
| Win (380-392) | The Little O' Pets | Ogre | 5-2 | 5-2 | 141,000 | 30,000 | We kicked to them, and Dagda stole it and scored twice in a row. Then disaster - a Pitch invasion nailed 6 of our players! Fortunately, luck stayed on our side, the two casualties were recovered with a Magic Sponge. In the second, we scored a fourth time, and then started trading, the fight gone out of the ogres. Appreciative fans and a Charity Match earned us two ff, as well. |
| Win (384-353) | Back in Black (MIB-B) | Human | 2-1 | 6-2 | 139,000 | 60,000 | Our second game against the Alien related B-Team this season. It wasn't as good as the first, with TA getting unlucky at a couple of critical points. We did some impressive work though, stealing the ball and controlling all but the first couple turns. Three of our six casualties came in the last turn of the game, and both of his cas caused mng's, despite our scroll and apo. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Sadly, the 'more hopeful' season did not come to fruition. The people prepared themselves perfectly for the tournaments, but then I didn't have time to play them. They fired it up again just days before the next tourney, trying like crazy to get enough games in to play. |
| Win (395-260) | Laiquendi | Wood Elf | 4-2 | 5-3 | 136,000 | 70,000 | In a stormy blizzard we played a much weaker wood elf team in our division for the division match-up. It was a good game, with them scoring well on us twice. We gifted them our winnings at the end of the match. |
|   |   |   |   |   |   |   | Due to an untimely injury, Finn was released temporarily. His skills were Block, Pro and a speed increase. He probably will not remember them when he returns. |
