I See Puppies!
I spotted this at AO Vault and AO Stratics so I might as well put it up also for those of you who don't visit those sites. "Happy Puppy", obviously a game website posted it's "Hot" list of 2000 and AO made the list, here's what they had to say about it.
"Groovy-looking game, nice interface, very weird and different world: a nice combination. The developers at Funcom also have a pretty damn good attitude about customer service and player relations. If they can survive their first real-world experience with providing support to the incredibly demanding MMOG audience, this game is definitely going to be a hit."

Dr. Twister's New Low
Recently, I had a chance to visit Dr. Twister's Comic Section. Not to my surprise I found a comic strip that was not only unfunny but insulting to the homeless and less fortunate. Their "Pokemon" scene got a laugh out of me remembering when that anime cartoon was big but the rest was pure garbage and at the end, sticking in a picture of Lum the Mad (or at least it's supposed to be him) suggesting he is the "Comic Book Guy" character on the popular series "The Simpsons". Get a life Twister. You may also remember Dr. Twister's first low back in August when they insulted this website for it's content and calling it "An AOLer's AO."

Updates and More Updates
I am glad to be the bearer of good news. Not only has Anarchy Online showed some new finished products. But they also said.."The next beta phase is approaching. We will finalize the data-set of playfields, items and monsters before Christmas. The programming will be finished early in January. If everything goes according to the plan, we will send out a mail by the middle of January to all the beta testers in phase III. The CD will be sent out to the testers immediatly after this."

Anarchy in Anarchy
According to the main Anarchy Website, troubles have hit hard from their supposed "Update" of FunCom sites. Here's what it basically says: "We have now moved our web server, and launched a new design for the Funcom Online web site. This caused some problems, also for the Anarchy Online, The Longest Journey and No Escape web sites. Among the problems we know about, and are working on now, are these:
- Login at the new site is case sensitive
- Flags and stars are missing in the chatrooms
- Rating in new site is not working
- Bulletin board and chatrooms in all Anarchy Online and The Longest Journey web sites are not working
If you find other problems, you can report them at the feedback form.

Anarchy Chat with Devs
This Sunday at 2pm CST, Stratics will be hosting an Anarchy Online House of Commons developer chat with Funcom. Read all about it.

I was also impressed by AO Stratic's section with Q&A about careers. You can read it here. It is very informative and thank you to AO Stratics.

Reopening of AO:TUW
After a very, very, very long break of 2 months I think it is time to get this website back up and running. School has kept me behind on some important updates but I assure you, WE ARE BACK! Tommorow I will be doing a news segment on "Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" due to the frequent questions asked in the Official Anarchy Online Chatroom. Also, don't forget to check out our new Slide Show under the Screenshots Section!

Interview with FunCom Execs
AnarchyHQ posted a very informative interview with Funcom's Marius Enge and Gaute Godager. In this answer, Funcom explains how experience will be split after combat:

Yes, there will be monsters on Rubi-Ka that will need some of the toughest men on Rubi-Ka to kill. In AO there will be three ways to receive XP. You will get XP for correct use of skills, for doing damage to the monster and you will receive XP for the kill. When for example two groups work together in killing a high lvl monster, everyone in the groups will receive xp for the damage they do. We will even give the unfortunate healer in the background some xp when he uses his healing in a good way :) The group that does the most damage will receive xp for the kill and the xp will then be divided on the persons in the group.

Click over to the AnarchyHQ to read the rest of the interview. Spotted first at the AO Basher.

Game Glow Network

The other day I was given the offer to bring this website to the Game Glow Network renamed as "AO Zone". After much IP, FTP, SHTML, and stressful work to see if I could even make the website, I decided not to join the Game Glow Network. Instead I will be helping them with other things.

Dr. Twister speaks some Harsh Words
Our "friends" down at Dr. Twister, a fellow AO site, like to make fun of websites that aren't theirs. Well, I ask that you ban their website because they called this website a joke. Our website contains more information and better information than theirs. We keep updated and don't bother anyone. Yet they take personal vandettas to their job. Enough is enough. Please Boycott.

A Chat with Tommy Strand
Guess what faithful readers? I got to chat with Tommy Strand and Holtemann from FunCom. If you don't know who they are, you shouldn't be playing AO. Tommy talked about how Omni-Tek members will get issued uniforms, equipment and other stuff. He also discussed that your character can permenantly die ONLY if you want him/her to die. Holtemann and I had a private but nice chat and he even signed the guestbook. Well Tommy and Holtemann, thanks a bunch and hope to chat with you both soon.

Beta is in Phase II
From www.anarchy-online.com: "Today we shipped the 500 CDs for the second phase of AO beta test. Hey, we even have a picture to show the load of padded envelopes! Those of you who have registered a beta tester application will receive an e-mail notification on whether or not you were picked this time around. Remember that the next phase will include ten times as many testers, so keep up the spirit!"
