His powers manifested early, and even as an adolescent he could use his powers to sense other people's intentions and emotions. After his father died, his mother married a man named Kurt Marko, who had a son, Cain. Xavier suffered greatly under his step-brother's hands, and an animosity grew between them that continues to this day. While in college, he met a woman named Moira McTaggert, and the two fell in love. She eventually leaves him, though, and he travels to Egypt to forget about her. He meets a young Storm while there, and defeats Amahl Farouk (the man who would eventually become the Shadow King) in a psionic battle. He then goes to Israel where he meets Magnus Lensherr (who would eventually become Magneto), and the two work together to heal those who have been emotionally damaged during the Holocaust. Xavier falls in love with one of his patients, and she eventually gives birth to his son (who would eventually become Legion). That relationship doesn't stick and he moves on to India, where he battles a villain called Lucifer. It is during this battle that Xavier loses the use of his legs. After all this he founded the Charles Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters as a safe haven for mutants to seek refuge and to come to terms with their powers. Personality: kind and loving to his students but pushes them to be the best that they can be. He is a father figure to the students and a strict school master. he always looks for a way to prevent a fight.
