He was originally an apprentice to the Oracle, but left her to join Reiyoda's cause. Christian L'Enfant: Christian found Tres, a small baby of ten months, on the steps of his beautiful home. With the baby was key to an safe filled with money, and two letters from Tres's loving mother, Amara. The letter asked Christian to care after the child whose mother died of illness. Christian was a world-renowned sword fighter-- a skill that he trained Tres in. His wife, Greta, who was barren, loved Tres like the son she would never have, as did Christian. Ranier Han: Ranier is Celina's very-loved father. A lieutenant on the Anglian Royal Guard, he was a hard worker, and loved his country. More than his country, Ranier loved his daughter. Unfortunately, Ranier died when Celina was only six. Tragically (and unknown to the public) Ranier was murdered by King Vordeaux, himself. Ranier's death silently but very heavily scars his daughter for the rest of his life. King Vordeaux Alancee: King Vordeaux is the corrupted leader of Anglia. He deals with mobs and the Vanoir Underground System. Vordeaux was responsible for the death of Ranier Han, Celina's father. Celina comes to assassinate the king sixteen years after her father's death. The assassination of Vordeaux is the "Silk Blade's" most famous assassination. It is her most gruesome assination yet. Hannon Trice: Hannon Trice is one of Vordeaux's Advisors. Celina is witness to his murder at the hand of Vonte- one of Anglia's deadliest Assassins. It is through Trice's murder that Celina chances to meet Vonte, and Celina is placed under Vonte's care and tutelage. Vonte (a.k.a. Silence): Vonte's reputation has identified him as Anglia's deadliest assassin. Though he is silent and introversive by nature- always enjoying his own company, and reveling in silence, Vonte saw something in Celina that warmed him towards the child. Feeling a loss in her sad eyes, and an amazement at her strength and independence, Vonte took in Celina, and, at the age of six, he trained her vigorously (vigorously, only because the child demanded it) in hand-assassination, hand-to-hand combat, and in stealth. Like most of the people in Celina's life that she has loved, Vonte died. On his deathbed, Vonte gave Celina a specially-forged katanas- the blades with which she became known as the legendary "Silk Blade." Prince (and Future King) Galagos Alancee: Galagos is the arrogant son of King Vordeaux. Half of Anglia is worried that this nanny's nightmare will become King of Anglia. At his the reception of his coronation as "Crowned Prince of Anglia," Galagos has a nasty run-in with Celina, who deals a great blow to the prince's highly-inflated ego. In his dealings with Tres and team, Galagos learns what is necessary in being a good king. After learning about the depths of his father's more-than-tainted administration, Galagos tries very hard to become more than what his father was, and in his efforts, does achieve that greatness. --THE NOTORIOUS FOUR: An Mei: An Mei, Jin Hsieh's best friend, is the well-known bartender at the night club, Seven On Fire. An Mei is a girl with a sweet nature, but who refuses to be pushed around. She can serve a mean drink, and has a good hand at handling a knife, as well. An Mei grew up with Jin Hsieh, and though she is like his baby sister, An Mei has always looked out for him with a vigilant eye. For that reason alone, she joins the Notorious Four, and stays by his side despite the fact that Jin Hsieh's a big boy, and can deal his own hard hits and take care of himself. After years in the club business, she is slowly becoming more and more jaded. This worries Jin Hsieh, who decides to leave the gang, in hopes that An Mei will follow him. To his surprise, An Mei asks Jin Hsieh's permission to stay back. It is here that she reveals her affections for Kit, the Notorious Four racer. Sad, but understanding, Jin Hsieh complies, and leaves An Mei and Kit to run the club. Kit: There is nothing like a huge party to lighten Kit's mood. Kit, a well-reputed racer, is also known for his fun-loving nature. Kit is hard to find without a smile or a joke at hand. However, when it comes down to business, Kit is always there for his friends. Aside from the races, Kit runs a top-of-the-line custom car shop- Kitase Racing. Never liking disputes, Kit stays out of most of the bouts between the other members. Kit and An Mei's relationship blossoms when, in despair, An Mei runs to Kit for advice on Jin Hsieh's participation in Sensei's underground weapons market. Unsure, they keep their relationship a secret until An Mei is given the choice to leave the twisted world of Seven On Fire and the Notorious Four. Sensei: Sensei is the leader of the Notorious Four. Heir to his father's great fortune, Sensei invested his money in the club, Seven On Fire. He enlisted the aid of Jin Hsieh, An Mei, and Kit to make the club a success while he put the rest of the money to use in the Halan Underground. As a boy, Sensei had a fascination with weapons technology which is where daddy's boy invests the bulk of daddy's fortune. His tough exterior is often a ten-foot perimeter he sets around himself. It works efffectively, and as a result, An Mei perceives the leader to be a danger to the success of the club legally. Sensi is constantly at battle with An Mei- who is stronger than she really knows herself to be. Sensei takes a very pointed stand against the appearance of Tres and his team at Seven On Fire. They are a danger to his empire, and he will not stand for it. This puts Sensei on the defensive when An Mei takes the opportunity to use Tres and company to win Jin Hsieh back from the Sensei's world. --THE PRIESTESSES AT THE MARIANAN TEMPLE: Adalei: The typical conservative priestess with a good heart, Adalei runs the Marianan Temple with the certain and smooth manner she has always run it with. When Tres, Arvina, Celina, and Rynne come to her temple seeking sanctuary, Adalei grants them each a room for the night and food. In raising Triton, Adalei was always the hardest one on Triton. She holds herself responsible for this Child of Mariana, and does a good job to see that Triton turns out the way a good child should. Though Triton may never know it, Adalei loves her like the mother Triton never knew, and parting with the child is far more difficult than Adalei would ever reveal to Triton. Portia: A good deal into her forties, Portia has not lost her lust for life and her amusing love of good-looking young men. (She has a special interest for Rynne.) To Triton, Portia was the equivalent to grandma in comparison to Adalei. The cook at the temple, Portia always had a treat for the tot when she would run into the kitchen crying. Adalei always had a time disciplining Triton with Portia around, and most of their arguments, though few in number, were usually on that matter. Portia loves spending hours cooking for her surrogate family and enjoys being surrounded by, or being close to, the waters at Mariana Bay. Though her free spirit seems an odd thing to find in a priestess who is in her mid- forties, Portia is one of Mariana's most devoted priestesses. --THE THREE MERMAIDES OF MARIANA: Dienne: Born with a beautiful coral-colored tail, Dienne is one of Mariana's three, chosen prophetesses. Of the three, Dienne is the one gifted with the ability to bless the chosen guardian. Dienne is also the most intelligent and most articulate of the three. Latrisse: Though seemingly flippant and trivial, Latrisse, the blue-tailed mermaid, is one of Mariana's blessed three. Latrisse is given the distinct power to identify the guardian when, by fate, the three will chance to meet the one chosen to guard "Mariana's treasure." Emera: Emera, easily identified by her green tail, is the peacemaker in this small group. With Latrisse always getting in Dienne's way, and Dienne always being far too misunderstanding with Latrisse, Emera is the balance between the three. Emera is given the responsibility and priveledge to watch over the guardian as he sets out on his task to protect Triton, Mariana's "Treasure." --PLACES-- //The Country of Anglia\\ Characters that Reside in Anglia: Tres (Vanoir- The Noble's District), Celina (Vanoir- Slums), King Vordeaux (Vanoir- The Anglian Castle), Prince Galagos (Vanoir- The Anglian Castle), Ranier Han (Vanoir- Noble's District), Hannon Trice (Vanoir- Noble's District), Vonte (Vanoir- Slums), Christian L'Enfant (Vanoir- Noble's District) Cities and Important Places in Anglia: Vanoir, Minorus, The Anglian Castle, Noven //The Country of Galanna\\ Characters that Reside in Galanna: Arvina (Orion- Slums), Dr. Pei Mahn Cho-ru (Leilin- Noble's District), Seraph Gateaux (The Juneau Forest), Maron Serailles (Agden- Lower Class Business), Reiyoda (Orban Cave), Sariel- The Oracle (Sorren Castle) Cities and Important Places in Galanna: Orion (slums), Leilin (Cho-ru's Office), The Orban Cave, The Juneau Forest (Seraph's Cottage), Agden (Baron's Street), Forthewithe, Shiro, Sorren Castle //The Country of Illandra\\ Characters that Reside in Illandra: Rynne (Tiere- Outskirts), Triton (Mariana Bay- Temple), Jin Hsieh (Hala- The Halan Strip), An Mei (Hala- The Halan Strip), Kit (Hala- The Halan Strip), Sensei (Hala- Uptown District), Adalei (Mariana Bay- Temple), Portia (Mariana Bay- Temple), Xiste's Birthplace (Jata) Cities and Important Places in Illandra: Tiere, Mariana Bay (Inn and Temple), Hala (Seven On Fire), Greta, Atir, Jata //The Isle of The Guardians\\ The Mariana Boundary: Mariana's guarded perimeter around the isle. She is the first deity fought in the quest to obtain "Guardian's Blade." The Path of Flare: Past the Mariana Boundary lies the Path of Flare, a long road blocked every- so-often with your beast of fire. And, there, waiting for you, at the end of the road, is Flare, himself. Don't be fooled by the not-very-tough name. This god isn't letting anyone past him. Frigia's Courtyard: Through the gate of the seemingly abandoned castle on Guardian's Isle is Frigia's Courtyard. After dealing with Flare, Frigia will undoubtedly shock you with her preference in the weather, a drastic change for you. No beasts here- just get past the ice queen, and you're scott free. Well, momentarily. The Tower of Aeolus: A wind god? Go figure, he attacks you at the top of the stairs- where you're most likely to lose someone or something vital- like your stomach. *_* The god of wind will do all he can to knock you down the long winding tower. Don't let your HP get too low, or you won't be strong enough to withstand his ultimate attack. Hey, lookit, you guys are all standing in a diagonal line. Does that help you any? :P Gaea's Lair: At long last- the FINAL god..dess. Can't be half as bad as the others. (Actually, you'd be right, this time. HEY! You might be good at this hope thing!) Gaea's the last one, and though she's easier, she kinda hard. Be prepared to have the walls and ground shaking while Gaea's vines lash at you from all sides. Don't trip on your sword. >:) //Sorren Castle\\ (on the Anglian Contient) Here is where you find the Oracle. Yes, you want to find her. She's the one that's gonna tell you where to find all of that fighting right above this section. Sure, it's tough, but you get the kick ass Guardian's Blade in the end. (Won't Reiyoda get a whipping!) Aside from being told where to find the invisible Guardian's Isle, here's where stories intertwine and the picture grows. (That's always fun.) If you're lucky, she'll give you a glimpse into your future, and if you're even luckier, it'll look good. (Be careful, being an oracle, and living by yourself can be kinda boring- she may try to mess with you some.) //Mariana Bay a.k.a Mariana Beach\\ (On the Illandran Continent) This small inlet off the eastern coast of Illandra is where beauty was born. You'll never see a place like it. Sun-baked white sand that will warm you to the core (eat THAT, Frigia), breezes filled with the smell of ocean water, tropical undergrowth lining and dotting the whole length of the coast, clear blue water for miles out into sea, and hardly a soul there. Paradise? You bet your sweet ass. Here, Tres and Co. meet little Triton. Was there ever anything cuter? I think not. She and Chau are at the temple near where they came in. Little do they know it now, but this tiny little girl packs quite a punch. She is known to the Marianan Priestesses as "Mariana's Treasure." And, indeed, she is quite a jewel. Not too long after you get there, Celina and Rynne get sight of Syrein's tanker off the coast, and you've got to find a place to hide, and quick. So, it's off to the temple! There's a large plan to infiltrate the ship, and I'll spare you the details. Something goes wrong, and Tres ends up a good distance at the bottom of the ocean. Here's where our three mermaids: Dienne, Latrisse, and Emera find him (unconscious). Latrisse identifies Tres as "the one." Dienne blesses him, and our hero is on his way. //Orban Cave\\ (on the Galannian Continent) Can you here Uematsu's creepy music yet? *shudders* I can. Here it is- the lair of Reiyoda. (EVIL! EVIL! EVIL!) It cannot be found by the naked eye. (Tres and his team gotta go about it another way.) Being the good guys, they do it. Through twisted paths, find Reiyoda, kill her, and save the world.
