Background: Gift's family was killed when she was a baby; her entire race was killed. Because of this, she didn't know of her other side for a long time. She grew up with her mother's friends, thinking they were her actual family. Gift never knew of her heritage until she met a shapeshifter that remembered the Karnee and sensed it in her. Then the whole story came out and Gift found her other side. She Shifted for the first time, and found that she is the strongest of her kind for a long time and feels bloodlust at times when in Karnee form, because her mother had broken that one law and had had a baby with a vampire. But of course, Gift doesn't know that. She knows about the Night World but is not a true part of it, keeping to the outskirts. She doesn't care for its rules and tends to keep to herself more than often.
    Several years ago, while on business in Tokyo, Japan, Gift managed to fall into company with Ethan Hawke. Noting the soulmate link right away, Gift accepted it immediately and has lived with Ethan ever since.
    Through Ethan, Gift met Julianna Blackblood, her half-sister / cousin. Julianna has managed to tell her a lot about her family and what it was like since then, but Gift has never once asked to see her father. She has no desire for it.
    Gift started a small business out of Northport, Michigan, her hometown. Tired of the Council’s laxness, she started a place of law, and that above the law. A place for bounty hunters, bodyguards, security men, assassins, hit-men, and anyone else who just wanted to make honest money or a quick kill to come and get what they needed. She manages it with Ethan and Julianna and often participates.

Description: Gift has hair like the red of the leaves in autumn, with the slightest touch of curl. Her honey-amber eyes often change type with her mood, going from iced honey chips to molten honey. She has a beautiful smile, slender hands, and she is tall, thin, and very muscular. She wears a delicate gold chain around her throat, a gold bracelet around her right arm, and a gold watch on her left wrist, all of which enhance her deep bronze skin. She dresses mostly casual, but she still manages to pull it off nicely. She's graceful and elegant, but calm and cool as well.
