My Music = My Life

Wanting more out of life than the norm., I picked up my first guitar at the age of 14. I am now 17, and with the influence of my grandfather, Ralph, I have been playing for over 3 years. I play most stuff ranging from Manson to Hendrix, AudioSalve to my own compositions. I was recently involved with a band called 'Phoenix Rising' but we split up due to personal affairs. I am now looking to form a new band, and further my career as a musician. I play electric guitar and am learning to play piano. I don't prefer to listen to the radio because then you find yourself writting music based on someone else's melodies and ideas and not your own. I just recently graduated from Woodmont High School in Peidmont, South Carolina and I'm going to attend the University of South Carolina this fall.
