Chrissie Amphlett:

Chrissie Amphlett is the frontwoman for the austrailian rock band, The Divinyls. I've only heard two of their songs but they seem quite good and Chrissie has a really good voice ( not sure about the pose though ). Like most of the bands featured on this site The Divinyls had most of their success in the 80s with hit singles such as 'I Touch Myself' and 'Pleasure and Pain'.

Ann and Nancy Wilson:

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson were born in San Francisco. In the early 70s they formed hard-rock band, Heart. I first came across them on the VH1 website as they were ranked #40 on the 100 Greatest Women of Rock N Roll. They remind me alot of French and Saunders actually.

Shirley Manson:

Shirley Manson is the Scottish lead singer for indie/rock band Garbage, founded in 1994. Although she has beens in lots of other bands Garbage is by far the most successful. Among their hits are: Paranoid, Only Happy When It Rains, Stupid Girl and the new single, Why Do You Love Me. Shriley is close friends with Courtney Love, Marilyn Manson and Gwen Stefani (below).

Gwen Stefani:

Gwen Stefani is the frontwoman for the highly successful U.S band, No Doubt but has recently embarked on a solo career which is also doing quite well. Among No Doubt's hits are; Trapped In A Box (my favourite!!), Hey Baby and the cover of Talk Talk's It's My Life. I definetley prefer that stuff to the solo stuff she is doing at the moment as it is too RnB for my liking.

Patti Smith:

Patti Smith is an American singer/songwriter with her band, The Patti Smith Group (they must have taken ages thinking of that name- NOT!!).The band were most famous for the hit song 'Because the night'.Patti was the first performer to sell out a poetry recital at New York's CGBG's rock club as her music career was is meant to be about poetry and art.

Queen Deborah Harry:

I should really have put Debbie on the main list but i forgot and you can only put 24 links on this free website so i will write a 'longer' short biography for her. Ms. Harry is the frontwoman for the legendary punk/new wave band, Blondie. Blondie have been around from the early 70s and are still going strong today. Last year i went to see them in concert which was amazing and i must say i still can't believe Debbie's 60. Blondie's hits include; Rip Her To Shreds, Tide is High, Rapture, Call me and many more.

Kelly Osbourne:

As we all know Kelly Osbourne is the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, famed for her constant swearing in reality show, The Osbournes.I think Kelly's singing career is highly underrated and actually very good. In 2003 she released the suitably titled album 'Shut Up' and a cover of Madonna's Papa Don't Preach , not as good as original but then again who can sing a Madonna hit better than Madonna herself??

Alanis Morisette:

Alanis Morissette is a Canadian indie/rock solo atrist. In 1991 she released a dance album ,ALANIS, which did very well in canada. In the mid-1990s she reinvented herself as a mournful rock goddess; her 1995 album Jagged Little Pill sold millions, won four Grammy awards and rocketed her to fame on MTV and around the world. Since then she has had huge success and is currently recording and performing.

Carol Decker:

Carol Decker is the British frontwoman for T'Pau. The #1 smash hit, China In Your Hand sold over 1.2 million copies in the UK alone, going quadruple platinum. Two more albums - "Rage" and "The Promise" followed before the band split up in 1991. Carol dropped out of the music scene for a few years, only occasionally guesting on other artist's albums. Recently, Carol appeared on Hit me Baby One More Time singing China In Your Hand. Unfortunatley she didn't win.

Amy Lee:

Amy Lee is the frontwoman for American goth-rock band, Evanescence. The band strarted when Amy met young guitarist Ben Moody at a summer camp in 1994. He was amazed at her talents on the piano and immediatley asked her to form a band with him. They went through several names, including Childish Intentions and Stricken before settling on Evanescence, the name they are famous for today. Evanescence have had hits like Bring Me To Life, My Immortal and Going Under.
