The Vision

Written by Nick Ireland

I paint myself into a corner
But in my corner I am at home
I put myself into a box for you
In my corner, I'm all alone

Tightrope stretches through the night
I balance unafraid; I won't fall
I will walk that line for you
Make me feel strong, weak
And a thousand miles tall

A vision of you dances across the stars
A vision of you and I inside my head
A vision of you and I in a rosebed
Just one word and to the river we'll dive
It's that vision that keeps me alive

It takes a leap of faith
Tonight faith's all I got
I'll give it all for you
It's not everything, but it's a lot

Spring comes around; I'm born again
World watches as the ice melts
Darling, I've got a fever for you
In the dark, your hand I felt

I break the quiet night
With a voice from the stage
My voice is calling out to you
As I watch from a barless cage
