A Letter from the Band...

Well folks, in the words of my idol, Mr. Springsteen, "it's been a long time comin" and it truly has, but now we're gearing up for a Summer tour that will probably commence in May with a performance at a party commemorating the end of a long road for one of our band members, Nevin Nolte. The Big Man will be graduating in May so we saw it fit to celebrate his achievement and that of several other close personal friends with some live music at the 2604 house on none other than Olive Street here in Cedar Falls. I obviously missed the memo that stated I should go out and get a job after I graduated last year so I'm still in grad school for another year. Anyway, congrats to Nev and company.

There have been some grumblings lately about the extended hiatus the band has taken since the Marengo show way back in July. While the months between have been peppered with some solo performances, the band needed to regroup and find a sound, I always refer to a "thematic heartland rock" sound as the one we're looking for and I think we're getting that hammered out. We have some originals ready to roll as well with Walk with Me, Sweet Marengo, American Dreaming, Gearhead, and When Time was on Our Side to name a few, adding to the long list of covers that we do. Believe me, the creative juices were flowing before…but with seeing the fantastic film, "Walk the Line," and going to see the savior of rock'n'roll himself in action, the juice is positively stoked for the spring of 2006. Stay tuned for more "special preview" dates and the graduation party itself…and when May rolls around you can MEET ME ON OLIVE STREET…WE'RE GONNA HAVE A PARTY!
