Don't Stop, Rock the Flock !!!

One of the Pioneers on making this awesome fusion of Heavy Metal music with Christian themes, they started in the eraly 80's and released their first album in 1984 , called "Rock the Flock" . this one was actually never released in Cd until 2001. The music on "Rock the Flock" i think that could be described as a fusion between 70's and 80's Heavy Metal, with many references to Sabbath, Purple, Iron Maiden , Priest , and NWOBHM in general. In 1986 they released their most well-known effort, "Master of the Metal" wich many consider to be their best album to date. I think that "Rock the Flock" was their best one, altohgt this one is really almost as good too. The music on this one was more 80's oriented and the production is far superior than RTF, altought i think that the "vintage" sound on RTF really fits in the type of music contained on this album. After "Master of the Metal", the band broke-up , but reformed several years later with a totally different line-up. This "new" Messiah Prophet released an album called "Colors" wich i think that its pretty good, altought it sounds nothing like the older classics they have putted out in their glorious 80's days. Its in a more melodic, commercial, and even jazzistic approach, but i think its pretty awesome. But most people i know just hate this album. All of these 3 classics were re-issued by UCAN records and can easily be found at many good Christian Metal stores. Do not miss any of these Christian Metal classics !!!

My Personal Messiah Prophet Collection: I have Rock the Flock (1984) in actual CD, plus Master of the Metal (1986) in MP3 files (but i may buy the Real CD soon ) and also the controversial Colors in CD
