Hey there, if you are coming from the Voodoo Amps site, let me introduce myself. My name is Monty-Jay and I am a fan/enthusiast of great tone. Voodoo Amps can do some serious work on your amp, and it seems like you're only limited by your imagination. I hope to soon have a custom amp by Voodoo Amps in the near future. In the meantime, check out some of these clips. These are courtesy of VOODOO AMPS and remain their property. If you click here you will be directed to the Voodoo Amps website.

The following information is provided by Voodoo amps:

All the tones you will hear were achieved from the Voodoo Amps high gain "Hex" Circuit (4-5 gain stages). These clips were recorded to give you an idea of how versatile the signal channel "Hex" amp actually is. We've designed a stellar sounding clean channel and our dual channel switching amps will be out on the market shortly!!!

CLEAN TONES The clean tones you will hear on the sound clips to follow were achieved by simply turning down the guitar's volume knob. The gain/preamp was set to about "8" on the amp in these clips.

SOUND CLIPS The following gear was used in making these sound clips. Gibson Les Paul Custom, Fender USA Strat, Voodoo Amps 2x12 cabinet loaded with G75T Celestions, Sennheiser MD421 microphone and all tones were recorded digitally (in Pro Tools).

HOW IT WAS RECORDED: We miced up a Voodoo Amps 2x12 speaker cabinet with a single Sennheiser MD421 microphone and the mic’s signal was sent into a channel strip of a Neve (VR console). We bypassed the EQ section on the channel strip of the Neve and went straight into Pro Tools.

We recommend listing to the tones on a good pair of speakers verses the smaller/generic computer speakers, as many computer speakers are not able to reproduce the lower frequencies and sound woofy or boomy on the bottom end. Please keep this is mind when listening to these clips, Voodoo Amps will modify your amp for the tone YOU want to hear, so these sound clips are more of a generalization when compared to the tone you may be looking for. They represent the hex circuit which can be tailored to suit your tone needs and tastes.

THANKS SO MUCH
