"The Shakedown Newsletter" #2

Well, well, well, WELL.... Seems we are going to be able to kick it up a notch after all. J-MAN is officially onboard for our web site designing and construction and has excepted the proposal readily. This is a good point to start with when promoting our Shakedown Band stuff to the various venues plus an ideal place for placing our song samples on MP3 formats...right Peter?

I urge you all to click on and take a glance at J-Man’s work at the sites he laid out so that you will have some idea as to what the hell is up with him and us. (SEE BOTTOM OF PAGE)

By the way Peter... the tape your currently holding is, although ok... recent taping taken at the Dec.27th rehearsal was still much better as said before, a host of good takes and ideas. Plus, it has your bass work on it, which is what we all would prefer in our CD demos.

Meanwhile, if you would and can, I would like a personal copy of what you are able to do on the tape materials that I gave you and if you can burn them to a CD for me. That will relieve the amount of tape cassettes I need to buy and have for recordings. I also will not hesitate to reimburse you for all the cost you incurred. Let alone I will supply the CD blanks needed for my copies in the future. Perhaps a box of blanks is best. Burn the whole tape's worth of that one please and on Wednesday I'll turn the Dec.27th recording over to you at the Wednesday rehearsal this week so we can get our recordings underway ok?

      News Update:

      Re Dec.28, 2001 Newsletter…

Yessss…. The mighty Sony Dubbing-Recording Machine is no longer SNAPED. Although I really have to admit that I don’t actually know how I fixed it… but it is fixed none the less and that’s about all I really care about…

      J-MAN’S STUFF

Well done dad! That was a terrific newsletter. It's 2:44am in the morning and I'm at my mom's so I gotta make this quick. Sure, I'll do the site. If the guys want to see some of my web work, just send them to www.visexpert.com and tell them to go to the Portfolio page. They can look and see if anything catches their eye.

I think it's really amazing that you found your last band member and that he can convert your audiotapes into MP3s. You'll have to email them to me or something so I can burn some CD's. I have budding talent in graphic design too, so maybe I could make some CD inlay art and CD disk art for you guys to distribute. Let me know your thoughts as well and here is the missing information you need for my credentials:

Creator of the punk band "Eversince Eve" website http://www.angelfire.com/punk2/eversinceeve

5 years in web site creation. I use mainly Dreamweaver, which is the industry leader in authoring and editing websites. I'm skilled in Flash as well which brings sites to life and interactive. Practically all modern (pop, rock, etc) bands use Flash for its use of sound and interactivity. And, 97% of all Internet users have Flash player installed on their computers.

And I think that does it. Get the guys EXCITED dad! It'll probably help the group "gel", you know? Anyway. Take it easy and I'll hear from you soon.
