"The Shakedown Newsletter"
#1
      Congratulation
guys. We are as of Dec.27th, 2001 a Band with a name and a destiny
with fame and
      Fortune
in it's future.... maybe.
      Many
things are about to happen to us in the Shakedown Band in the
upcoming times ahead and we deserve the chronicle coverage of
our very own newsletter tabloid.
      My son,
'Jason Rundell', will be an asset in the near future for us in
towards the task of setting us up with our very own web site.
A cyberspace place where we will be able to greet and stay in
touch with the masses that will be demanding to know more about
us. A place that will be available for those many Shakedown Fans
that will be wanting to obtain our much requested MP3 downloads
of our songs, photos, news updates, band announcements, T-shirts,
buttons, CD's, tapes, chat-rooms and their fan club memberships.
Along with a host of all our other selling features... maybe.
      (At any
rate, we will have our very own web site)
      Jason
has in his personal repertoire a resume that includes and kicks
with:
      Editor
of his own high school newspaper
      Web creator
of ...another band whose name escapes me at the time...
      Many
other web site designs that were created by him.
x years education in the usage of... whatever the programs are
named that go in the creating of web sites.(he's done it)
Jason is a soon-to-be graduate of a Web Site recognized education
course that he is attending and paying for out of his own hard
earned money... (not mine)
He is currently newly employed with
a Web Creation company downtown and will be pursuing his sought
after dreams for his line of preferred type of occupation with
them and the company has already recognized his multi-talents
in the this field and have BIG plans for this guy.
      (Congruities to you J-MAN... youre
hired.)
      More Congratulations
      Well done Peter Szekeres... your
performance as the Shakedown Band's newest band member on Nov.27th's
rehearsal was just what was needed to convince the others in the
band that... not only do we need another Hungarian in the band
but that, "you da man".
      Whatever
the bumps that this band has had to endure in the past to get
launched has now come to past. Peter is viewed as certainly capable
of filling the bassist position by the opinion of all the bands
members and is a real soldier to have on board. He excepted his
initiation Thursday night in that he didn't wimp out on us and
bail at 10:00pm, but instead... he took it like a man and backed
us other fools who had Friday morning to sleep in and hung by
us till 11:05pm in order to show us some good will. "THANKX
Peter". Your a real pro and showed us that your heart is
in the right place for the project. Talent, punctuality, wit,
charm, good looks, good gear, and more... On behalf of the Shakedown
Band... welcome aboard Peter.
      Peter
also brings to the table with him besides the talent, punctuality,
wit, charm, good looks, good gear, and more... the ability to
take our recordings and digitize them into MP3's for us. YAHOO!...
As I am able to edit the recorded tapes he will receive them and
will be able to send to each of us, an MP3 copy for our personal
listening pleasure plus a whack of other possibilities...
      CAUTION:
Anyone found guilty of passing these materials to any non-band
member person(s) or organization(s) prior to written consent by
all the other Shakedown Band members, may/will be found liable
of defrauding the Shakedown Band and will be pursued and dealt
with in the fullest degree of a recognized court of law and will
be faced with the most extreme maximum fine(s) that we can muster
on your silly ass... barring that, we will hunt you down like
the freakin dumb-shit dog that you are and we will kill your stupid
ass personally.
      Respectfully
yours,
      Jack
Rundell and The Shakedown Band and all its recognized band members.
      Rehearsal
Stuff
      Last
Thursday's rehearsal was a gas guys. We made a lot of headway
and it will only get better from here on in. The proof was in
the recordings, which by the way turned out really well. A lot
of good stuff and ideas are always swirling around in the studio
room and are being recorded. That is when I remember to turn the
recorder on properly. I know I stupidly missed what was probably
the best of last Thursday night's takes. All the bands members
each time we play are contributing the ideas.
      Soon
we will need to get the MP3 thingy going and perhaps a band meeting
outside of a rehearsal night to discuss these things with the
recordings present. Only just so that we can go over them. Maybe
a booth at a bar or someone's home...
      One problem
arose the following day while I was dubbing a copy for our man
Pete and also one for Brandon who made a special request for one...
plus provided the necessary blank tapes. My damn #@%&$@^ tape
machine snapped and now Ive got to try and repair it myself
somehow. I hope I can get it going again because that's really
going to piss me off if I have to buy another one. (update on
this will follow soon)
      Last
but not least... I have officially booked 'The Rising Star Studios'
for next weeks rehearsal on WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2nd, 2002 from 6:30pm
- 9:30pm, ROOM # 5 (the usual room downstairs).
      Although
we normally rehearse on Thursday nights we are gladly making an
exception this coming week just for you Steve. As his Shakedown
Band buddies, and Steve you are being very much supported by us
all in this matter. We are doing this out of the great heart-felt
respect that we have for our man Stevie-Keys...besides which,
maybe he'll stop complaining about the blisters on his palms for
awhile...(?) Plus it may perhaps place some kind of normalcy in
his life.? Apparently he has a REEEAAALLY big lump for this, 'Love-of-the-heart
Babe' who is on route to Toronto as we speak just to be with him...
for God's sake Stevie make sure you shake off that flu bug in
time.
      Ok guys
thats a wrap and well see you all next week as stated
above
you too Steve.
