      Jack
Rundell who has now entered into his 40's has been a guitarist
for over 25 years having begun his guitar playing attributes from
the early age of 13 years old. Jack has been involved in many
musical projects over those years. Bands, Jams, Bar Gigs, Recording
Studio Projects. His earlier cover band influences include many
such as Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmor, Kim Mitchell starting back to
the Max Webster days, early Eric Clampton, Molly Hatchet, Crowbar,
and just a whack of others too numerous to mention.
      Jack
developed an appreciation for a wide verity of different musical
menus early in his playing career and today always has an arsenal
of varied music venues to draw from as is evident from his musical
repertoire.
      Raised
in a family that included a mother who played the fiddle and a
father that played guitar in the country music venues. Plus, then
you include a host of other relatives who would on many occasions
show up on a Sunday afternoon at the family's house, start playing
and singing and it was just a natural for Jack to want to do the
same.
      Jack
developed the ability to start creating his own writings from
in the beginnings and learned to play by ear as he observed this
aspect of playing from his parents and relatives.
      Wanting
to play with his own peer groups then afterwards and flow into
their musical interests, he joined in with many basement and garage
jams with his friends. Again picking up on different band playing
aspects from other musicians.
      He
was forever the teen that practiced regimentally every day in
the household basement driving to both improve his playing skills,
and his parents around the bend.
      Eventually
he found his way to the bars and studios. Now he has finally started
off in making his own goals a reality as to what he himself wants
to do with his music.
      Although
its been awhile coming about. He has seen and done enough over
the years to know what he wants. So now through the help and efforts
of his good friends and his family members, he is determined to
aggressively go after his musical goals and account for all that
time he has put in. He is bent on pushing hard with the creating
and writing his music and seeing this project through.
      Jack
has a deep and set 'evasion' towards doing cover tunes and really
does much prefer doing the originals instead. So when Jack and
"The Shakedown Band" perform, you won't be hearing much
in the way of cover tunes. He has carried a lot of materials around
inside him over the past years and has made a very heartfelt and
personal commitment towards the project of completing those originals.
With the aid and support of "The Shakedown Band" members
he has the visionary insights and is bent on what it will take
for that to become a reality.
      Jack
is the main driver behind "The Shakedown Band". However,
he will always maintain that everyone can and is
"Only
as good as those that are around him". Which is why he will
ask his band members to always give and bring forth their very
best efforts.
      He
will consistently use words and phrases like Passion, Wanting
it, Commitment, Ideas, Effort and such words when working with
his band members so as to heighten their focus and he personally
does not only believe in such words and phrases but eats and lives
them in his music life.
      Once
he was decided towards putting the materials together into a personal
project he headed straight to his good friend, "Brandon Westwater"
the band's Drummer.
      Jack
has known and played together with Brandon before for a number
of years and asked him for his help. Today Jack reflects on Brandon
and himself as a true partnership.
      Jack
as intended, soon became the creator and writer of 95% of their
materials for the band, and when they began recruiting the other
band members. He would always ask Brandon for his inputs as to
who, what, where and when, as Jack had always felt confident in
Brandon's inputs and opinions. Together, they readily shared in
Jack's visions and were definitely now on the same page together
and a force to achieve their goals. Being a person with a strong
sense of commitment once it's made, Jack is not one that will
be turned away from his goals too easily.
      He
also created the 'Shakedown Band's Newsletter'. The letter is
intended to recap and keep a documentation of past, current and
future 'Shakedown Band' developments and events while keeping
everyone up to speed. He also just simply likes doing the weekly
Newsletter for the pure enjoyment of it.
      Last
but not lest is that Jack finds great comfort in pursuing his
goals while knowing that his family is behind him on it. Thus
making it a real possibility to go after what he wants in his
music life. His oldest son, 'Jason' affectionately referred to
as J-Man by Jack has been a great help in the support and creation
of, "The Official Shakedown Web Site" which in turn
offers the band an excellent place to display and promote themselves.
"It's a small world
yes, but I wouldn't want to paint it all by myself
