what's happening!?

4/20

Sorry about the long delay in updating the site.... I've been wayyyy busy getting a portfolio for work together.  Finally that's done, so i can put more time into this.  I haven't put up a new forever wild in a while, so i'll try to get at least one up tomorrow.

My site has totally outgrown the free webservers that i've been using. I keep  going over my allotted bandwith space, not to mention webspace, so and it's time to move on to a new webhost.....  so i also need to come to a decision about a domain name.  I keep changing my mind... so i'm reaching out to you guys for some suggestions.  I put a poll up about it.  I have no choices on there, but if you click vote, you can write your suggestions in the "comments" box.  PLEASE help.  I want to have the domain up and running soon.

The time for the Stone Pony Shows are quickly approaching, so i'm psyched about that...  A few more shows have been added to ticketmasters list:

Thurs. 5/16 at Mulcahy's on Long Island, NY

&

Sat. 5/18 at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, NY (upstate)

Don't know if i'm gunna get to either of those shows, but i'll try...  they are both quite a hike for me.

Some news recently annouced on Sebastian's offical website (www.sebastianbach.com):

this blows my mind but it is in fact TRUE ! I have recorded a song with my all time rock hero ACE FREHLEY ! the track is called "KNOW WHERE YOU GO "(PLAY :20 sec MP3) & is on the ANTON FIG solo CD , available now ! As you know Ace introduced me to Anton years ago & Anton has always been one of my favorite drummers , so we struck up a friendship & Anton laid down the drum tracks on the studio tunes from "BRING 'EM BACH ALIVE!" & some tunes on "Bach 2: Basics" as well . So Anton called me up to wail on his song with Ace on the guitar , Anton on the kit , & Richie Scarlet on bass ! What a dream come true ! click here to go to antonfig.com & order the CD ! here is a note from Anton :

I'm sure most of you heard by now that Sebastian was arrested following some sort of conflict at a bar.  It's unfortunate, and the news is  having a field day... but let's remember there are two sides to every story, and we have yet to hear Sebastian's side.  Hopefully the incident won't interfere with Stone Pony shows!

I finally added the second part of the Ted Nugent episode of Forever Wild. ( I edited out a brief portion that showed a wild boar being killed.)

3/3

The Stone Pony Shows were officially announced on bas' site...... whoooooo hoooooo.  I'm really excited that he plans on doing a different set each night!  REALLY looking forward to this!

2/28

According to Ticketmaster, Sebastian will be playing two shows at NJ's Stone Pony... March 29th and 30th.  Strange that Sebastian didn't mention it in an upoc message or on his website.... but i figured, what the hell... if the show doesn't happen, ticketmaster will just have to refund, right?  lol  click here for ticket information.

There were several people from outside the US who wrote me - and while they agree with my reasons for not wanted to post it, they all still very much wanted to see the episode of Forever Wild...  OK, so I watched the fourth episode of Forever Wild, and it wasn't as bad as I anticipated.  SO, while I still think Ted Nugent is an egotistical,  cold-hearted asshole, I watched it and found it was still a pretty funny episode.  I haven't watched the most recent episode, but I have heard that Ted does kill an animal in it (ugh).  I'll have to watch and decided what I want to do about putting it up or not..... or maybe putting up an edited version of it.

2/11

This was on the aol Sebastian message boards:

Yesterday, I randomly went to a taping of a new VH1 variety show called Never Mind The Buzzcocks. The show has a moderator and celebrity panelists and Bas was one of the guests at my taping! It was really cool seeing him there. The show is kinda silly, but Bas made it quite enjoyable. Wait until you see him humming an ABBA tune! Plus, there was this one part where you had to identify song lyrics and Sebastian
didn't even get "18 & Life"!!! How could he forget his own song!?! He was cursing himself out about it when the taped stopped rolling. The series starts airing in March, but I'm not sure when this episode will premiere. I'm sure Bas' website will have more info.

I haven't put up the latest episode of Forever Wild yet because I have mixed feelings about it.  I haven't watched the episode yet (although I have it on tape) because I have big problems with the guest on the show, Ted Nugent.  My displeasure with him goes beyond the fact that he is a hunter... from past interviews I've seen with him, it is obvious to me that he views the lives and feelings of animals to have little value.  I don't understand how someone can take PLEASURE in destroying a life.  To kill for survival is one thing... to kill because you get a rush of joy out of it is disgusting as far as I'm concerned.  Unfortunately next week is a continuation of this past weeks show, with Bas and Ted out in the woods again.  (sigh).....   Not looking forward to it I'm afraid.

2/4

Can't believe this one.....  Sebastian's latest message on Upoc annouced that today he is filming "The Weakest Link!"   How funny is that!  Wish you the best of luck on the show!  (This one i've GOT to see!!!!!)  No airdate yet.

SEBASTIAN BACH IS BACK AND "FOREVER WILD"

IN NEW VH1 MUSIC SERIES

PREMIERING FRIDAY, JAN 18 @ 10 PM (ET/PT)

PASADENA, CA, January 14, 2002 - Music styles come, and music styles go.  Except for hard rock.

Hosted by none other then heavy metal madman Sebastian Bach, "Forever Wild" is required viewing for today's hard rock fan, a celebration of the never-say-when world of hard rock and metal in a unique hour featuring the wildest in video music and a nonstop tour of the rock life.  The new VH1 weekly series premieres Friday, January 18 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT), anchoring VH1's "Forever Wild Fridays," also featuring a hard rock episode of "Behind the Music" and hard rock-themed VH1 News specials every week.

"Forever Wild" roars deep into the adrenaline heart of hard rock, with Bach meeting wild people, engaging in crazed adventures, and exploring a lifestyle that ranges from checking out the seedier side of Las Vegas to climbing into the cockpit of an Indy 500 racing car.  And, of course, bringing fans the best in hard rock and metal music and videos with features like "Heavy Metal Book Review" and "Heavy Metal History Lesson."

Sebastian Bach first broke through to audiences in 1989 as lead singer of heavy metal band Skid Row, who hit the Top 10 with "18 and Life" and "I Remember You," and scored with the albums "Skid Row," "Slave to the Grind" and "Subhuman Race."  As a solo star Bach's albums include "Bring 'Em Bach Alive" and the newly released "The Last Hard Men," on Spitfire Records.  He recently recorded and released the single "the Dreams in You" to benefit the September 11th Fund for the victims of the terrorist attack on New York City.  Bach has made a huge mark on Broadway, having starred in the hit musical "Jekyll & Hyde and, most recently, as Riff Raff in "The Rocky Horror Show."  He also starred last summer in an episode of the acclaimed VH1 drama series "Strange Frequency," entitled "Don't Fear the Reaper."

Viewers can log on to http://www.vh1.com/insidevh1/shows/foreverwild/   to check out Sebastian's list of "what's metal, what's not," a metal radio station programmed by Sebastian, photo flipbooks of Sebastian's own photos of his journeys, weekly email written by Sebastian to fans, and outtakes too hot for TV, plus submit photos of themselves "wild or mild" for posting online.

Interview on KNAC

11/5

THANKS TO MANDI for sending me a copy of the interview from the other day!  whooo hooo.... i have the song in the audio video section for you to hear.   i'll try to get a better copy of the file so the sound isn't so bad.... i did have it up as an MP3, but it wouldn't play off the net for some reason.  (anyone have suggstions for getting it to work?)  ANYWAYZ....

Lisa from Bazmaniacs let us know on the message boards that bas will be doing a live chat TONIGHT at www.talk.usatoday.com

11/3

Upoc is not real quick in sending voice mail messages to the phone.... if you wanna be sure you don't miss anything, i suggest not waiting for them to send the message with all that is going on with sebastian these days...   i missed hearing an interview/song he did on the radio the other day because of it.  Oh well.   He did one song with Paul Crook from RH on the Joan Hamburg show, which was recorded live at the New Jersey Gardens Mall.  Hopefully I'll get a copy from someone that was able to record the show to stick up on the site..... anyone who happened to record it, drop me a line.

Return visitors can see that i moved the site off of geocities.......  I can not begin to tell you how BAD geocities is.  If you have a site on there, do yourself a favor and move it ASAP.  Don't forget to change your bookmarks.

Right mouse click and go to "Save Target As" to Download an Adobe Acrobate file of the the RH window card.... this was sent by Jodi Rotondo, Marketing Manager for Rocky Horror.

10/21

I caught the tail end of an interview Sebastian was doing last night via phone to WNEW...    Unfortunately my tape crapped out on me part way through, so i missed a touching part in the middle....  bas was talking about the Sept. tragedy and recording the song  Amazing Grace which he has available on his website.  He put a copy on a cd and brought it to a firehouse in NYC... he talked about how it was so overwhelming standing there in front of these heros, and how they were touched and appreciative of the song.

Go to the Audio/Video page to listen to the little bit of the interview that i did get.

10/20

Sebastian Bach and Friends will be performing in NYC at the Hammerstien Ballroom on Nov. 28th.  He's got the Broadway thing to do too that night, so they will be going on early... 7:00!  Tickets on sale now at ticketmaster.com.

10/19

I have some info on discounts to RH listed in the discounts section... thanks for giving the heads up about the code, RocknRollMom... if anyone hears of any others, let me know.

Bas had on his site that he was appearing on ABC the other night... unfortunately I heard the news too late...  I hear it was really brief, so I don't think I missed much.

Bas left a few messages on upoc... he talked about his excitement in being in another broadway show, and some more about his feelings about the state of the country.  he also wanted people to know that he WON'T be in rh on nov. 8 - 11 because he'll be opening with his band for vince neil in puerto rico.

Jen pointed out to me that the Hard N' Heavy video file i had up had a high pitched sound.   It's not drive neighborhood dogs any longer, but the sound still sucks.  i'll have to recreate the file.......... sorry....... i'll try to do it this weekend.

The episode of "Crossing Over" that aired on Sci-Fi recently, was aired this past monday on cbs. :)

Bas had some really exciting news on  his website...    he has recorded a song called "The Dream is in You", along with a whole slew of other Broadway stars.  It will only cost $5, and will go to benefit victims of the Sept. attacks.  These are two links he gave with more info on the project:

I wanted to let everyone know that Laura and I are fine here....  and thankfully we did not know anyone who was killed in NY, although I knew several people who lost loved ones.  It's all very sad.... my deepest sympathies to all of you effected, directly or indirectly.....   i imagine that would be all of us in some way or another.
