Our third and final assignment was to create a a product. We are allowed full use of creativity here, making our own company label, using a rasterized image, utilizing a pattern brush and simulating 3D space. I felt this was my personal best since I was able to experiment more, especially using the symbol sprayer tool with the pattern brushes to spread out the leaves floating inside. The leaf symbol was done freehanded with a paintbrush tool. Alot of corrections were done on the gradient and the gradient mesh (the bottom of the bottle). Multiple layers were used along with transparency to show the reflection and depth of the bottle. This project is an example of commercial illustration due, once again, to the overall simplicity and its added exotic look. The Japanese word, "Konoha" means "leaf" and it shows with the label's logo. The flowers place on the right are sakura or cherry blossoms, which are also commonly found and famous in Japan.
