The second assinment was to make a magazine cover for "Home Of Your Own". This was notably more complex from our first assignment. A nameplate was made for the logo and we had to create still life objects with transparencies and/or gradients and place them in a fitting environment. Along with the use of rasterizing and using a pattern brush, we had to convert the tect to outline type and make the spine. This assignment is suppose to look like a genuine magazine front page cover. Once again, I was still trying to get familarized with Illustrator. I was unable to make corrections for the lilly because it simply could not come out the way I wanted. I was also unable to make corrections for the text again. This project is an exmple of commercial illustration for simplicity with still life, especially if it's just one object. The flow of the text would make a reader not only look around the cover but also observe the lilly in the flower vase.
