The Traumatic Adventure of Senor Skyles
Based on The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
There was a man named Skyles, who taught Spanish 2 at Timpview High School. One day, during 4th period, John Hannon abruptly stood up in class, and yelled, “Look! A black cloud!” Skyles looked up, and started screaming, because a black cloud was descending down into the classroom. Everyone in the class started shouting, “YAY! HOORAY!! YAY!” Skyles was the ONLY one who was scared, and he thought he was dreaming.
The black cloud started sucking everything into it, and everyone was slowly floating towards the cloud. Skyles started crying, while everyone was having the time of their lives. He yelled, “If I find out who is behind all of this, I will fail you! I WILL FAIL YOU!!”
Right as Skyles got into the cloud, he noticed he was falling, and he couldn’t see any ground. Everything around him was black, with yellow dots. Suddenly a giant television set appeared in front of him, while falling. A close-up of an angry looking man with glasses appeared on the Television. The man on TV started swearing at Skyles, and threatened him. Skyles started yelling back, because he couldn’t think of anything better to do.
Suddenly Skyles appeared in the passenger seat of a car, and noticed that John Hannon was driving, with a VERY evil look on his face. Skyles asked, “Where are we going?” John replied, “We’re going to Broadway!” Suddenly a large fly hit the windshield of the car, which started Skyles. John Hannon was laughing hysterically at his reaction.
They parked right outside of Broadway. Skyles ran as fast as he could out of the car, and entered the theater. He saw Howard Hughes dancing in “Blue Suede Shoes” smiling at a cigarette. If that wasn’t bad enough, he saw children playing with needles and pins. Skyles ran up to the kids and said, “Those are dan… What in the WORLD??!!” Skyles saw that the year was 1974, and freaked out. He heard a very eerie tune echo in his head, and he couldn’t quite figure it out.
Immediately, Skyles appeared inside a cocoon. Now he was REALLY scared, and didn’t know what to do. Two minutes after being in the cocoon, he fell into a large cage. In the cage, he saw John Hannon standing looking at him. He cried for help, but he just ignored him and walked off.
When he finally got out of the cage, he noticed he was in a factory floor. He saw many workers producing “dream dolls”, which he had never heard of before. As he was wandering, he saw a whole shelf of dolls that resembled the students in his Spanish classes. Skyles gasped as he saw John Hannon was #9 on the shelf. He immediately got out of the factory.
When he got out, he realized he was back in New York City. He saw a porcupine, and got the strongest urge to cuddle it. He had no idea why, but he did anyway, and it hurt really bad. In addition to the pain, his heart felt extremely hairy. The hair on his heart was bothering him even more than the pain of the porcupine. He noticed a store called “Painless heart shave”, which is what he needed. When he got inside, he asked if he could have his heart shaved. One of the people said “Sure, drink this, and you won’t feel any pain”.
It was raspberry flavored, so he didn’t gag when drinking it. Two minutes after he drank it, he couldn’t feel his chest. The worker opened his chest, and Skyles could see a lot of hair on his heart. He watched the doctor shave it, and spray it with ‘anti hair growth’. After the worker stitched his chest back together, Skyles asked if he would feel any pain later. The worker sprayed his chest with a spray called ‘Zero pain’, and said he would never feel any pain from the surgery. This whole process lasted only twenty minutes.
After he left, he started thinking a bunch of numbers. The numbers entered his mind, and started making him go crazy. He had an idea, that if he returned a book to the bookstore, the numbers would leave his mind. He returned the book, and suddenly he could think straight again.
Skyles wanted to go home really bad, and was tired of this. He was curious to where his students were, especially John Hannon. He was also worried that he would be held responsible for anything that happened to his students. He saw an airport, so he rushed to it.
When he entered the airport, he saw 32 doors, and had no clue which one to go in. He asked many people for help, but they all told him different answers, so he couldn’t trust any of them. He found Jessica Roberts in the chamber, and decided he would trust her. She led him to a door that took him to a waiting room, and then left, before he could ask any more questions.
In the waiting room, he saw Sean Nelson and Tyler Pack playing with doctor tools, such as stethoscopes and tongue depressors. They were behind glass, so he couldn’t talk to them, and they didn’t notice him. He could here a bunch of chime in his head, and it was starting to bother him really bad. Before he could get up, his chair started flying. He was really mad now.
Suddenly his chair stopped flying, and a supernatural anesthetist entered the room, and called him in. Skyles realized he had no idea why he was in the waiting room, or why he was trusting someone he had never seen before in his life. He was very confused, and really upset.
The anesthetist led him to a room with a large painting in it. When they entered, the anesthetist pushed Skyles into the painting. Skyles was now inside the painting, where there was a large pool with many children. Right as Skyles entered the painting, all the children yelled, “Senor!!”, and ran towards him. Skyles thought to himself, “oh no”, and started running as fast as he could. He could see the water turn blue when he looked behind him. He saw that snakes were starting to chase him too. Skyles thought to himself, “when will this nightmare end?”
He saw an empty boat ahead, and literally dove into it. Right as he landed in the boat, it sailed away. Skyles put the lid over the top of the boat, and decided to go to sleep. When he woke up, he was on the shore of New York City. Skyles decided to go to a doctor, because he was feeling really depressed, and very sorry for himself.
The secretary told him to go wait in the doctor’s office immediately, so he did. When he got inside the doctor’s office, he saw a certificate that read, “Dokktor Jacob West”. Skyles didn’t like the sound of Dokktor, and started moaning again.
He jumped when the door opened. “Hello Skyles! How are you doing?!” Skyles turned really red in anger. The dokktor was a talking ape, like on ‘Planet of the Apes’. Skyles replied, “I’m feeling really angry actually, and I was expecting to see a real doctor! Not a dokktor!” The ape started laughing really hard. He was laughing so hard; he pulled out an acoustic guitar from the wall, and started playing it while making faces at Skyles. He was jumping on top of the patient bed, ripping up the butcher paper, and screaming. Skyles tried to get out of the room, but the door was locked.
Skyles yelled, “Stop immediately! This is really annoying!” The dokktor was waving his jacket in circles, screaming in laughter, and making more faces at him. Skyles found a key in his pocket, and forced his way out of the room. When he left the building, he saw a black cloud fall down from the sky.
Right as he saw the cloud, he thought his nightmare was over! He ran as fast as he could to the black cloud. As he was running, someone was chasing him trying to get his autograph. Skyles kept running, and ignoring the man. Skyles saw a bunch of people screaming in fear while being sucked into the black cloud, much like he did the first time.
When he got within ten feet of the cloud, it disappeared. “NOOOOOOO!!!” Skyles has never been angrier in his entire life, and never looked so red before. The man trying to get his autograph was laughing really hard, and started jumping around. Skyles told him to get lost, but he didn’t. Instead, he ripped his face off, and to his horror, he saw Jessica Roberts.
Skyles felt like running was the only way to escape, so he was off. Jessica got into a helicopter and chased him. He ran into Broadway, and locked the door. Luckily, nobody was in there, so he was able to take two hours worth of deep breaths. When Skyles left Broadway, he stepped on a giant leaf.
The giant leaf started flying. Skyles didn’t know why, but he started having fun. The leaf was flying really fast, and cruising throughout New York City. His fun was totally ruined when he saw everyone in his 4th period Spanish class, except for John Hannon and Steve Moody flying in Jessica’s helicopter beside him. They were all laughing at him, and making faces at him. Immediately Skyles knew that John Hannon and Steve Moody had something to do with this.
Skyles tried to ignore them, but he couldn’t, because they were so loud, and still flying next to him. Skyles jumped off of the leaf, because he couldn’t take it anymore. He landed in a canoe, and was surprised that he didn’t get hurt. He rode his way into the rapids. Right before he got there, he saw John Hannon standing on the grass. Skyles jumped out of the canoe, to ask John what was going on.
Rather than landing on the grass he could see, he appeared in the factory again. Nobody was in the factory this time, and all the lights were off. Somebody tackled him, and carried him on a conveyer belt, and tied him to it. After the person left, it was completely silent, and nearly pitch black.
After two minutes, the conveyer belt started moving. Skyles knew something bad was about to happen. Suddenly the room lit up, and Skyles could see the face of Steve Moody in the distance. His face was projected to a wall where the conveyer belt lead to, and it was ten times bigger than a movie theater screen. Steve’s face was very evil looking, and was laughing really hard.
Skyles tried as hard as he could to get untied, but it was impossible. He could see himself moving closer to Steve’s face, and was absolutely terrified now. The conveyer belt started speeding up. Skyles started crying really hard, and tried even harder to get untied. Steve’s face became even more evil looking, and his laughter was getting really creepy. Skyles decided to close his eyes, and just let whatever happened happen. Every time he closed his eyes, the volume of the laughter increased, so he just kept his eyes open. He was getting really close to the projection of Steve’s face, and the closer he got, the eviler he looked and sounded. Suddenly the factory lights turned on, the projection stopped, and the conveyer belt was turned on. Skyles was breathing really heavy, and looked terrible.
When he got out of the factory, he saw the black cloud was right above him. This time, he got sucked into it, and was really relieved. When he fell out of the black cloud, he landed back in the classroom. He was the only one in the room. He realized the trauma was over, and hoped he never had to go through anything like this again. As for his fourth period, he did his best to pretend that nothing happened, and his students did the same.
