The Awful Sounds
There was a man named Alfred Jackson, who lived in Missouri. He worked at a store called "Your Favorite Jean Jackets", as a salesman. One day, when he was working late, he was about to close the shop. Suddenly he heard a brutally annoying high pitch voice singing an unbearably annoying song. This horrible sound gave Alfred a series of chills, and his eyes were watering. When Alfred turned around, he saw one of the jacket floating in the air. Alfred realized that this jacket was what was singing. Alfred was too annoyed to be frightened by this, and he decided to run out of the shop. This Jean jacket was following him out the door, so Alfred started running. When Alfred got to his car, he got in and slammed the door shut before the jacket could get in. He drove off, and saw the jacket was following him, so he decided to turn on the radio, but when he turned it on, he heard a brutally annoying high pitch voice singing an unbearably annoying song. Every time he looked in his rear view mirror, he could see the jacket following his car. He turned off the radio, took a huge breath, and was resisting himself from smashing his radio with a hammer. When he got home, he ran to his door, quickly got in, and slammed the door behind him. He went to bed. When his radio alarm clock went off, sure enough, he heard the high pitched voice singing, so he immediately got up and smashed his clock with a hammer. He started getting ready for his day at work, and hoped that the jacket would be gone, but he had a feeling it wouldn't leave so easily. He peeked out his window, and was relieved that he couldn't see a jacket outside. When he got to work, he was worried that the jacket would be in there, since it was a Jean Jacket shop. He thought to himself that he was never going to enjoy working here again since the only thing on his mind was the fear of that jacket, and he was frequently reminded of his annoying experience whenever he looked at a jacket. He decided to quit his job, and get another job. He saw a shoe store across the street, and thought he could be a salesman of shoes. Right when he walked inside, he saw a giant black shoe hopping towards him yelling in a high pitched squeaky voice, "DADDY!! DADDY!!" Alfred ran away, and thought to himself that he may never be able to live normally ever again. He thought really hard, and decided he would try a local hospital, since only humans are there, and he could tolerate humans. He got the job of a storage manager, and he looked forward to it. So far, two weeks later, nothing annoying or weird has happened, so Alfred thought things were back to normal. One night when Alfred was filling out some paper work, he saw a giant container open, and he saw an alien-like figure float horizontally out of it. Then it turned to its side and fell to the ground. Alfred saw that this was ET from the movie, and was wearing a dress. Suddenly, ET yelled, "ET PHONE HOME ET PHONE HOME ET HELP PUSH BUTTON ET PHONE HOME!!.." Alfred started running away, but the ET was chasing him. Alfred felt hopeless and thought every single job would be cursed. He decided to go unemployed, so he could at least have peace. Two weeks later, he woke up to a group of high pitched voices singing an unbearably annoying song. He jumped out of bed, looked everywhere for the source but couldn't find it. He heard this song constantly for the next two hours, and thought he was going to go mad. He realized he was hearing this in his head, and it would never stop. Alfred got really mad, and started breaking things, but the horrible sound didn't go away. He tried everything, but the annoying song wouldn't stop playing in his head. He couldn't sleep at all, because it was constantly playing in his head. Alfred was in an unusual amount of pain, because this song was so annoying, that one minute of it would make a person in a happy mood into an angry agitated mood. The next day, after a totally sleepless night, he heard a new sound in his head in addition to the annoying singing. He heard a high pitched voice yelling "DADDY!! DADDY!!" repeatedly. Alfred was about to die. The whole day he ran into walls, banged on pots and pans, played music as loud as he could. Pretty soon, after listening to music really loud, he couldn't hear anything except the annoying song and the "DADDY!! DADDY!!" Alfred realized he was completely deaf now, but he could hear the annoying sounds perfectly clear. After another sleepless night, Alfred could hear "ET PHONE HOME ET PHONE HOME ET HELP PUSH BUTTON ET PHONE HOME!!.." repeatedly in addition to the annoying song and "DADDY!! DADDY!!" Alfred was crying really hard, and he was running into things even harder now, trying to shake the sounds. He started banging his head against the wall really hard, but nothing happened. Two weeks after the horrible sequence of sounds, and sleepless nights, the sounds stopped. Alfred looked up, and was astonished. He couldn't believe it, but he was still really mad, and felt sorry for himself. He could hear the sounds of the world again too. To this day Alfred hasn't ever heard those sounds again, and there is no explanation for what had happened. Alfred is very grateful that he had endured the sounds, because he currently enjoys daily activities. Alfred got married two years later to a beautiful woman, and has three kids. To this day, he enjoys the joyful moments in life, and is living a very happy life.
