The White Astronauts
There was a man named Collin Craghead, who lived in Provo Utah. One day, when he was bored over UEA weekend, he decided that he wanted to hang out with his friend, Scott Gurney. They decided they wanted to go to the Provo Towne Centre, because they had nothing better to do. They got in Scott's purple beetle, and drove down there. When they got to the mall, they saw a brand new, monolithic figure in front of the mall. They decided they wanted to check it out, so they parked nearby. when they got there, they realized it was a giant statue of an astronaut. They realized that it must be for Halloween, so they continued. They went to the CD store, and looked at CDs. Collin saw that they had a plethora of Rush CDs, and a lot of them were used. Since Collin liked Rush, he decided he would buy a copy of Moving Pictures, because it had really good songs on it. Scott was beginning to feel distraught, because he didn't have any money, and he wanted a copy of Hold Your Fire, a Rush CD. When they left the CD store, they saw a white figure running around like mad on the first floor. The watched it for a while, and saw that it was somebody in a white astronaut costume, and was running in circles yelling, "Where's my frog, where's my frog?" They decided to ignore it, and went to see a movie. When they got to the movie theater, Scott asked Collin if he could borrow money, since Collin was very affluent, and Collin agreed. When they got into the theater, there was a strange man going seat to seat badgering everyone if they could buy him popcorn. Before the inane man got to Collin or Scott, a police guard kicked him out of the theater. Right before the movie started, Collin and Scott heard someone yelling in a high pitched, "My frog! Where is my frog!" Scott groaned as he realized the astronaut dude was running around in the theater now. Collin felt really turbulent, and yelled, "Will you please knock it off! We are trying to watch a movie!" The astronaut dude didn't stop running around though, and he continued to yell. When the previews were over, Collin could no longer tolerate this insanity, so he walked to the nearest security guard, and told him about this crazy astronaut dude. The officer came in and told him to leave, but he didn't. Collin and Scott couldn't take it anymore, so they angrily left the movie theater. Right as they were about to leave, a white astronaut started following them. It wasn't the one that was yelling, but it looked a lot like the other one. It was walking really smoothly, and was frequently jumping. Collin shook his head, and said to Scott, "This has been one of the wierdest, most annoying days of my life." Scott said, "Let's just go home". When they got in the car, they observed two very truculent looking men tackling an officer. This made them worried, so they drove off immediately, avoiding a violent scene. As they pulled into their neighborhood, they saw the same Astronaut that started following them standing in front of Collin's house. Scott said, "Do you think it is feasible that this astronaut dude is stalking you?" Collin said, "I certainly hope not." They drove away for a couple minutes, hoping that the astronaut would be gone when they got back. Sure enough, when they got back, the astronaut was still there. Collin said, "Scott, can we go to your house for a couple hours, this astronaut is intimidating me." Scott said, "Sure." Two hours later, Collin had to go home. On his way home, his heart was beating, because he didn't want the Astronaut to be there. Collin sighed in relief when the astronaut was gone. That night, Collin had a nightmare that he was sitting in a wooden chair surrounded by astronauts charging towards him. When he woke up, he ran to the bathroom feeling very belligerent, so he had to calm himself down. He took twenty deep breaths, and then went back to bed upset. When he woke up again, he felt much better, so he decided to go to Scott's house. When Collin walked outside, he noticed that almost everyone in his neighborhood was outside shovelling purple sand. Collin found Scott, and said, "What in the heck is going on?" Scott said, "We are now owned by a society of giant astronauts. We are kept in a giant container, and are kept by these white astronauts." Collin looked up, and saw a giant astronaut head staring down at them all. He could hear the loud, deep, roaring voices of the giant astronauts talking to each other. Collin realized that they were now the dregs of existance, and felt like an ant kept in a giant container with humans staring at it. He turned to Scott, who said, "You get used to it after a while. We have a job to do for them." Collin went inside his house, to get breakfast, and saw that his family was eating purple sand. Collin asked, "What are you eating?" Collin's mom said, "This is the only food we have now. Don't worry, you will get used to it after a while." Collin felt as if his life had turned into a complete fiasco, and felt it was going to get weirder and weirder. Collin still couldn't figure out an explanation for this, so he walked outside, and approached a man shovelling purple sand. He asked him, "How exactly did this happen?" The man said, "Well, a large army of white astronauts gathered in a circle, and shrunk our city, put it in a container, and now they own us. Just like humans own a container of ants for a science project, that is what they did. Collin looked up again, and saw the giant astronauts looking down at them, speaking really deep, and very loud. It was so deep, and loud, nobody could understand anything they said. The man turned to Collin and said, "Don't worry, you will get used to it after a while." Collin went inside his house with the chills, and felt really distraught. Collin decided that the only choice he has is to accept this, and move on with his life.
