Gruss Gott!
It's hard to believe it's July and we've been here for two years! Amazing!
We will miss our cozy apartment when we move downstairs to the 1st floor.
This is Chance's 1st home, so there are many memories for us here. ~smile~
It's the beginning of many homes for us...thus is the life of a military family.
We're looking forward to putting a kid's pool in the backyard so Chance can
enjoy the last bit of summer in water! Maybe even enjoy a few barbeques!

July will be a busy month! We started it with a trip back to Eidelweiss Lodge.
We hit the pool every day as Chance built his confidence with the water. One
night, I got a very relaxing maternity massage and Joe got a hot stone Swedish
massage the next day. It was worth every penny! On Saturday, we rented bikes
to explore town, Joe rode one bike with a safety helmet-clad Chance in the back
as I managed to ride another bike with my protruding belly. It was a lot of fun!

On Sunday, we hiked to the Partnach Gorge from the Ski Jumping stadium. We
admired the rushing mountain water and the caverns we had to trudge through. It
was quite a sight and worth the long walk! Joe had to walk in a squat-like position
for parts of the caverns due to the low ceilings and Chance riding high in the back-
pack. On the other side of the gorge, we discovered a stream where Chance and I
went barefoot and literally froze our toes! The Bavarian Alps were quite breath-
taking! On Monday, we hit the center of town and shopped for clothes. We got a
quick bite at a local Thai restaurant and then returned to the pool for more
water fun for Chance. That evening, it started to rain so, we hit the indoor 4th of
July festivities at the hotel and ate its barbeque buffet. Chance was thrilled to
play with the many balloons and pinwheel he got. We spent our last night in the
crowded pool with many kids and a pooped out Chance when bedtime came around!

Now that we're back home, Joe is preparing to leave for the field for almost a month
in Vilseck! While he's away, I'll be packing up our stuff in boxes and slowly moving
light items downstairs. We're also hoping to take a quick trip to Camp Darby, Italy
in August to enjoy the beach once more and spend more family time together!

Each day both Joe and I are in awe of Chance. He's become a "Daddy's boy" and is
quite the independent tyke! He wanted to wade around the pool on his own and kept
wanting to climb the sides of the pool. He loves anything that spins in a circle such
as a pinwheel or the wheels on a hot wheel car. His little brother (Yes, Doc thinks
it's a boy!) is moving quite a bit in my tummy! What a bundle of activity especially
when I'm sitting still! We like the names Hunter Cole or Cole Allen...we think
both names have a nice ring!

We hope you enjoyed our update and hope you had a great 4th of July!
Ciao!
