Megadeth would not have rose from the grave if it weren't for Metallica kicking Dave Mustaine out of the band. Apparently he was a little to violent while he was drunk for them to handle. Dave then started the crunching sound of Megadeth. He was hoping to outdo Metallica with his fast guitar licks and his almost strained sounding voice. Megadeth is now on top of the food chain. With the loss of Metallica's bassist(Jason Newsted), Megadeth has seemed to stay strong and are still kicking metal ass even today.
