This song is about all that is over scene. It’s about nice guy who finishes last, the great musicians of the world who don’t make it or that guy who opens doors and gets no thank you. ‘i’ is a metaphor for all of this, because the usage of the lower case ‘I’ is invisible while alone. You can’t type a paper with out the ‘I’ (alone) becoming capitalized so that it is noticed, the ‘a’ doesn’t need to be capitalized, yet, the ‘I’ does. I’m not sure if you’ll understand the meaning but, this song is probably the best song that I have ever written and means a lot to me.
