March 24th-Not much news. We really need a singer. We're trying out some guy named Mark on Saturday. We'll see how that goes. March 7th-Long time no update. The battle at Guilford went great. We played four songs: Sorry for the Delay, Rebuttle, Sunday Morning, and Carpe Diem. The crowd loved it. We received comparisons to Tool and even one to Radiohead. Although we didn't win the battle, the judges said there was a close tie between three bands for first place. It was between us, the band that won, and another band. Since we weren't mostly from Guilford and we don't have a singer, they weren't going to place us first. But we definately got our name out there. Also we received word of the Battle of the Bands at Coginchaug on May 2nd. Thats something else to look forward to. February 9th-Talent show was last night... what a horrible failure. Kram couldn't get his cords to work so the show had to go on without him. The rest of the guys sounded good though. I still feel like we let the audience down though. Hopefully things will turn out better at the Battle of the Bands. February 7th-Snow day, school's out... this means the talent show it out too... until tomorrow. Looks like it will be tomorrow at 7 I guess they didn't really say. But this means Sean will be off work (hopefully) and able to play with us! If not we'll still have Conor for backup, thanks to Conor for being there for us. February 4th-Some good news this time! Sean still won't be able to drum for us at the concert, but we got a hold of Conor to maybe fill in. Hopefully all goes well and we will be able to play the show, Conor's very good. We'll see. February 3rd-Some bad news... turns out Sean Thompson can't get off work Friday night which means we can't play the talent show unless rain/snow/conditions push it the Saturday. Lets hope for that... I don't know if we'll play the show without Sean or not (I doubt we will). I haven't talked to the other guys about what to do... I really wanted to play that show too, oh well. If we can't make it I won't let anything stop us from blowing everyone away at the Battle of the Bands! January 29th-We've got a few shows coming up at some schools in the area. Nothing big yet. We only have two songs completed now: Rebuttle and Carpe Diem. We're finishing up our third song with all five members of the band. We'll soon be reviving Gadfly and Sinergy with the added guitar and clarinet parts. |
