Willie Nelson

Willie Hugh Nelson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on April 30, 1933.  Growing up Nelson was always involved in music.  He got his first guitar when he was six years old.  As he grew up he was in bands and had his own radio show.  At 27 he moved to Nashville to pursue his greatness - songwriting.  In Nashville Nelson wrote many popular songs for other musicians.  After his house in Nashville burned to the ground he went back to Texas.  There, since there were not any musicians to play his songs, Willie started singing.  Ever since then Nelson has had scores of roles in movies and TV shows and has be come a country music icon.
