LOVES PARK --
Willie Tolon caught a 27-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter
and the Forest City Gladiators received rushing touchdowns from
Dwight Williams and Pete Brown, as they beat Milwaukee Marauders
in Midwest Division action on Saturday (July 26).
Tolon caught
his touchdown pass off a tip and withstood a hit from Milwaukee
safety Tim Beuth during the play. The TD catch was Tolon's fifth
of the season.
He finished
with three catches for 54 yards, as the Gladiators moved to 4-2
overall and 1-1 in the North American Football League's Midwest
Division. The Gladiators' defense played a solid game. It was led
by Kywan Edmonson (a sack on a safety blitz) and Dathon Wickson
(broke up two passes).

but said he hopes his team can gang tackle better for Saturday's game
