Dirty South Records is a new and exciting record company based in Launceston, Tasmania. We have a strong desire to change the struggling music scene that Tasmania has, We also have the knowledge and ability to change the scene by;

* Finding new artists and assisting them with their song writing and performance skills, helping them gain the knowledge required to perform at a professional standard.

* Recording and Producing artists, in an very high quality studio.

* Manufacturing and Distributing CDs recorded by the artists.

* Managing artists.

* Organizing events to push the music that our artist perform.

* Ensuring that there is as much live original music in Tasmania as possible, by planning events for our artists and even for people who need assistance organizing an event..

One of Dirty South Records goals is to organize as many live original performances as Possible. These events will range from outdoor festivals to tiny indoor gatherings.

We also give our advice or we can simply organize a whole musical event for you, ideal for the people who don’t have much time up their sleeve.

We are targeting the Youth of Tasmania, we plan to give as many of the younger generation Tasmanians an opportunity to experience live original music in a town near them. We also cater for the younger generation, so that they can at least find something interesting to do on a weekend.

Another of our goals is to ease the stress relating to the business side of music, and by taking care of this we will also be setting the band up to a professional level where they can begin organizing their own events if they wish. Our objective is to help bands so they have the ability to walk alone in the industry.

We offer our artists as much assistance in every aspect of the industry as possible under one roof, from media releases, websites, bookings, management, recording, distributing and merchandise. We have a list of people who are very skilled in these areas, agreeing to offer their time in assisting our artists achieve their best.

Dirty South Records offers a very attractive contract to artists interested in signing to an organization designed to help artists do their job. We take the problems away from the artists, leaving them to think about their performance.

We also plan to help Tasmanian communities and organisations by holding fundraisers and non-profit events.

Dirty South Records is definitely looking to the future with some big plans that will really shape the way Tasmanians view live original music, whilst giving back the music scene that once flourished in this beautiful state.
