CORROSIVE POPTART

NEWS

11-1-03
Wow. Long time no update. A lot has gone down since March, as many of you know. We had an excellent show at the "Artists' Autumn Showcase," which was put on by the fantastic people at the Endless Mountains Council of the Arts. We followed the George Wesley band, who, as always, were awesome. We humbly took the stage and played. It went well. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics, but if anyone knows of any out there, let me know. Thanks. Also at the show was one of the best bands in Tunkhannock, the ultimate number band, TEN 7. Check out their webpage...(http://www.ten7.tk I'll put that on a link page eventually. Well, to wrap it up, we've got some new material, and...I don't know what else. I'll try to keep up with the news and post accordingly, hopefully I'll do better than once every eight months...Peace.

Hey! I'm just writing this because we had a show today! The peace rally went pretty well. Thanks to everyone who came out. Thanks to Kevin for making some groovy signs. Thanks to the Tunkhannock M.O.S.H. Club for organizing the rally and inviting us to play. Hopefuly we'll get the pics uploaded soon. I think that's about all I have to say right now...watch out for any more shows. Thanks for coming by the site, drop by again! Peace out and God bless.

Sorry about the lack in news updates. There wasn't much to report for awhile, but a lot has happened, so I think a new entry is warranted. We had a sorta show on Friday. Cole had a history project, which provided an opportunity for us to play. We played an original song, written by Cole (applause!), featuring the very same Cole on rhythm guitar. Not to boast, but we rocked the hizouse, yo. Well more like the classroom, so is that clizassroom? classrizoom? clizassrizoom? I dunno. You can figure it out if you want to.
Anyway, onto more news. We have a show. All details are not clear yet, but it will be on March 21 at Tunkhannock High School. It is actually a peace rally, which is super groovy in my book. Anyway, it should be a great time, so come out. We would really appreciate your support and attendance if possible, if not for us, then for the cause, because this is something worth fighting for.
I guess that's about it. I will post details on the rally as they are made known to me. Finally, we are possibly maybe debating thinking of considering changing our name, hence the new poll question. Please answer; we would appreciate your input. So, because of the new question, here are the results to the old poll, the presidential poll for Basel in 04! Basel crushed all opposition in a landslide! results are as follows:
Basel: 37%
Mighty Mouse: 27%
Steve from the Dell Commercial: 26%
Cole (late entry) 9%
There were 88 votes, so that's why the percents don't add up to 100. Just so all you math whizzes who added them up don't send me hate mail. Comments: I think Steve's marijuana arrest hurt his chances, Cole entered too late, and Mighty Mouse is too small or not as popular with today's youth. Also, I think the awesomeness of Basel and his campaign strategy played a part. VOTE BASEL FOR PRESIDENT IN 2004! PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY! FORGET THE CONSTITUTIONAL AGE REQUIREMENT! woohoo. Next stop, the White House. I think CP should play at the inauguration. I'm sure we could rip out an awesome version of "Hail to the Chief."
Hey, if you're still reading this, it means you cut through all my crap and rambling. Good for you! Thank you very much. Anyway, in conclusion, if you have any questions or comments, post them in the guestbook or email me. My address is in the guestbook. Just put the words Corrosive Poptart in the subject line somewhere. Hey, thanks for visiting, come back soon, and tell your friends and those who are not your friends. Keep standing up and fighting for what is right. Only you can stop the angry fat white bald headed americans of this world. I hope to see all of you at the rally. God Bless and Peace Out.

Hey! I wasn't gonna write this news entry, but I decided to to commemorate our 500th hit! It happened at about 11:30 PM today. Yeah I'm sitting up late on the computer. I'm a loser, so what? It shouldn't be a surprise to you. But I digress.
So yeah, we got 500 hits. In band news, we finally got unlazy (not a word? oh well) and got our butts back into the basement to practice. We worked on original material, and the fruits of our labor are posted on the brand new LYRICS PAGE! Yeah, we look more and more like a real band every day. It's kinda freaky. Anyway, keep an eye and an ear, and a tongue too if you want, for upcoming shows. We'd like to get some before the big June bash, but we'll see. Anyway, that's about all the band news.
I'd like to get a mailing list going, and possibly a fan club thing (if anyone wants to be in it ;) ), so look out for that, too. Thanks again for coming, check back for updates, watch for band info, boycott the bell (http://www.ciw-online.org check it out) and spread the good word.
On another topic, watch the news, educate yourselves, and pray and take a stand for peace. This whole war thing is getting out of control, and a lot of innocent people are going to die unless we do something. YOU ARE THE YOUTH. STAND UP AND MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
God Bless. Peace Out.

Well howdy everybody, and Happy New Year!!!! I guess it is time to update the webpage. The band has acquired some louder amps and a brand new PA system, as well as a new microphone and other accesories. Original songs are being written and completed, needing only polishing by the band. The proposed concert in the summer looks promising, so make sure you can be there!!
In other news, the poll has happened to be the victim of some dishonest voting. The actual winner was probably Cole, although the results seem to state otherwise. In response, we are declaring this poll closed and posting a new question. If you have any suggestions, just contact me or put it in the guestbook. Thanks for visiting, come back soon, and tell your friends (unless you're like me and don't have any...) We are continuing to work on the site and adding little goodies for our visitors, so keep checking back! Thanks for coming to the site and supporting CP! It is greatly appreciated. I guess that's about it. God bless. Peace out.

Hello and welcome to the brand new, state-of-the-art, one and only CORROSIVE POPTART WEBSITE!!!! Props to mi hermana for her awesome work on this site. We're still working on the site, so not everything is ready yet, but check out what we have so far, and sign the guestbook once we get around to making it.
OK, now on to the band news. Fall Fest 2002 has come and gone. The October 20th fest was not one of our best shows, but it was a unique experience and I got to dress up all groovy-like. Anyway, check out the pictures on the pictures page. Well, where did you expect them to be? Right now, we are working on some totally original songs, and preparing to unleash them on the unsuspecting public. That's all for now I guess. There's a possible show in January, so keep your eyes and ears open. Also, I would like to have a big pool party slash outdoor concert this summer. That show would be free, but by invitation only. If you crash the party, I'll get my totally awesome dog to rip off your face. Anyway, check back here often for updates, and tell your friends. God bless.
