All currently live in New Haven, Michigan except for Scott Bastien who lives in his home town
High intensity and mood setting are just a few of the words which best describe the sound and style of the band Sicks. The real sound of Sicks was not discovered until three years after the band was formed. Although Sicks had a good sound when they first formed, complete satisfaction was not met until the band found their powerful groove in the year of 1998.
Although the band has many influences, Sicks naturally developed a unique sound of their own. The band Sicks was formed in 1995 by four close friends. Considering the members of the band have known each other since grade school, it was easy to communicate with each other.
All four musicians grew up in Richmond, Michigan. The lead singer, Justin Martin, was new to the local music scene when the band was formed. Over time, Martin developed a unique style of singing consisting of clean and emotional vocals, including powerful and dynamic rants. The bass player/back-up vocalist, Scott Bastien, provides incredible vocal support and strong, pounding bass rhythm. John Rzeszutek, twin brother of the drummer, provides a thick, heavy and groovy lead guitar. While Joe Rzeszutek completes the music with a powerful, yet dynamic, original style of drumming.
